At the age of 43 Nelson Mandela was put in jail for passively speaking freedom. That was August 1962, the month before I was born. 27 years later, I was in the hospital waiting to give birth to my first son and watching TV and this was the day they were going to release Mr. Mandela and I realized that my entire life of freedom, he was in prison for no crime and I was deeply moved. My son was being born that day.
Four years later, this passive man became the first black President of South Africa. Wow.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
yes, he was an amazing man. i was lucky enough to hear him speak at St. John the Divine in NYC during a visit here. his manner was so loving and humble. a great loss, but a wonderful legacy.
