This cake is so easy and has a great flavor!
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 cup oil
2 cups water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 T. white vinegar
I always add the vinegar last to avoid it turning into a science project when the soda and vinegar marry!
Bake at 350 degrees
It works well as a sheet cake, cupcakes, layers or a bundt cake. I just made it in bundt pan and will make a glaze to drizzle on it...then bring several pieces to my tenant!
P.S. It's really good with a peanut butter frosting!

I don't follow a recipe for pb frosting, but if you have any basc cookbook like Betty Crocker or Better Homes, you'll find one. I just make something like butter cream frosting and reduce the butter and replace with pb.
I have an easy, wonderful recipe for a fudge frostng that I use when I make this as a sheet cake. I can share it, if anyone is interested.

When I make homemade cornbread it calls for 1 cup cornmeal and 1 cup flour and that only makes one round pan.
