Well, yes I am still in the coop. I hope that I am not the last one here. I thought it ending sometime ago but I hope that it is coming back.

With no alerts around here I will continue to check my favorites.

I've been having trouble logging in. Took several attempts this time, but here I am!

Most of my time is spent taking care of my parents. Dad is 95 and has advanced Dementia and Mom is almost 92 and catching up rapidly. Arrggghhhh! This situation is a constant test of my patience.

My two dogs are pretty much my entertainment these days. They are enough.

Praying for everyone in the path of the hurricane.

Cherry, when I think of the problems signing in...I can get over that and after all these years..sorta will put up with it.

Signing in has always been a problem. But God bless you for taking care of your parents. I so hate to sound rude, but I think I might get a pass as I have been there and done that.

I am so thinking that caring for an infant was easier.

I thought the Hen House active? I know we all have stuff going on but I look forward to hearing from my dear Hens.

Maybe there was a fox in the hen house....sigh.

I guess we all get busy and distracted by life and all the responsibilities.

On a lighter note, I adopted another dog that had been found wandering. No ID and no one looking for her. The shelter picked her up, had her spayed and vaccinated and sent her home with me. Daisy the Chihuahua joined Violet the Chiweenie!

Adopting shelter dogs is an important part of my life. They give me a purpose and keeps my house from feeling so empty.

So how can we round up more hens? For a long time I got no notifications then suddenly they were random.

Facebook seems to be an easier way to keep in touch, but that doesn't allow anonymity for those who prefer.

Maybe you should continue to post in the Hen House as we always loved it until it went away.

I am not about FB at all.

I sure hope that our Hen's will come around as there is nothing better than a good ole girl friend discussion.

I am so sorry that I didn't say anything about your parent's. I know that it can be a struggle. I have been there and it is very difficult. I pray for you and yours.

Come on over Hen's! Cherry is doing her best to keep the Hen House open.

I get no notifications either. You just have to hop around and see what's going on. And I do not like that at all. We waste so much time having to go from post to post to see what is going on.

Alerts would be so great!! But I am thinking that that will never happen.

Maybe you could go to your friend groups and ask if they would like to join.

We're trying! I agree that girl talk is always welcome...that and dog snuggles.

I live in a college town and apparently the students require an expensive and very loud fireworks display to welcome them back in the fall. I find it a big selfish waste of money and it scares the hell out of my dogs. It irritates me beyond acceptable words....and it's hard to get any sleep with shaking dogs all over me.

Ah well...they recovered and I can sleep tonight.
