I'm becoming one. When it's dark by 4:30 in the afternoon, it's even worse.
I'm following my doc's instructions exactly...always do. She increased my new drug at my appt. last Monday and told me I could double it in a week if I needed to. Some days I have a little less pain, but only if I'm not working much. I can't take too many lazy days and still survive so I'm trying to let the meds do their magic....ha!
For a long time, I've had spells where my stomach seems to just shut down and nothing leaves it for hours. When it finally does, it comes up...all of a sudden! It just happened again. I could tell all afternoon, that it was heading in that direction. My digestion is a little worse on this new med and I don't think I can tolerate a larger dose.
How am I supposed to get to a therapeutic dose when it makes me sick? How can I leave the house when I might suddenly have a puking spell? I can't!
So...here I am, in my pajamas, having just vomited everything since noon, with my door locked to keep the world out. This is so discouraging and I'm so tired.
Ok...done whining.

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

You are not whining!

Praying they find something to help you. Hugs-RJ
When I finally vomit at 6 or 7 at night and the same stomach acid and food from noon is still there, it's rough. Then...I'm afraid to eat solid food.
The valve that opens to let food move from the upper stomach to the lower stomach was not opening for my youngest. Sometimes if he walked around it would open some. They put him on medicine that he had to take 1/2 hour before he ate so that valve would open. And they gave him medicine specifically for the stomach pain.
I don't know if this has anything to do with what you are having to go through. I can't remember the medicine or what the cause was but it was the gastro who helped. He had the nausea, the pain, vomiting, and his larynx was burnt from all of the acid.
Just trying to throw thoughts out there for you to check out.
I had to go totally liquid. It sucks! I would put my food in the blender before I ate. Everything had to be thin enough to go through a straw. Chicken noodle soup through a straw was weird, but what can you do?
Hang in there, I know it makes it hard to work or function. Stay strong. Hugs-RJ
i went through something similar a few times. it took a lot of experimenting. fruit baby food or a pudding cup - even a jar might take 1/2 hour to eat, broths, watered down gatorade, sleeping on a wedge pillow to keep my esophagus above my stomach....
i hope you find something that will help you. as much as you do, you definitely need your strength.
I wish all of my dear Hen's to feel better soon.
I was feeling fairly good earlier...then I fussed over my Mother's hair and now my neck, shoulder and down my arm are about killing me. Stomach feels slightly sick...I could use a little break. Truly.
Now I feel guilty when so many others have more pain and bigger problems than I do. Kicking my own butt, now.
Hope you are able to get some rest how. I pray your stomach calms down soon.
Hugs-RJ
If i feel guilty i hate it, but if i go with it I am ok. I use to and still may get panic attacks which contributed to the hermit status. Now I get out when i feel i can, but love to come home to "safety". Which is funny because when I am out now I love being out and home is not as fun.
Sun set here is at 3pm in the winter, being in the foothills. so I am ready to settle in and I know there is more to do, but I can't help it.
Hermits, need to come together.
except and try when we can
