The Hen House Community Group
This Group is for Hens only. A place where we can share and flock together:) May friendships grow here.

Hey Hens, I was curious, do you have any Christmas traditions?
I don’t, not anymore, now that the kids are grown. But, I’m starting one this year! We are going to do a movie marathon night. This year we are going to watch Gone With The Wind. My mom and my favorite movie of all time. This year it will be my mom, my two youngest sons, youngest sons gf, and possibly my DIL, MIL, my dh and of course me. Pizza and Haagen-Dazs ice cream are on the Menu.....everyone gets their favorite flavor. I think we will vote this year for next years movie. On my list is the Ten Commandments and Roots, o and North and South.
Going to wash up all the blankets and use snuggle fabric softener on them all so they will be fresh, clean and smell good for snuggling. I’ll make home made apple cider. Hmmmmm what else can I do? I have popcorn on hand.
Im soooo looking forward to it:)

It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

My hubby has his thing of what he eats every boxing in memory of his mum, thats his tradition that he does each year.
No family traditions that all take part in, for a few years we did play a game with a whole load of goodies costing a pound each or less and 2 packs of cards. The kids loved it, but the kids all grown up now.
Might be worth a google search to start something as i have no idea what we could do.
