Hi dix and hens that follow...

Dix, i read what you wrote, please dont feel you have nothing to say and that your life is boring. I write mostly about the cleaning and sorting ive done! lol. Hardly exiting or thrilling is it?..
But its not about what hens write or what I write, its about the contact we have with each other. The contact i have with you guys is very important to me, its like having pen pals. You can write "today i cleaned the bathroom" It really doesn't matter, just dont loose that all important contact with pple.
And belated happy anniversary for yesterday ! That sounded nice and the way we would celebrate ours : )

Ive been doing my usual clean and tidy that i do on mondays. Evening meal is sorted, dh made a stew, weve got left overs. Planing on playing my game after this.

dixie, i second just what empathy said. we have lives and we're sharing them. very good to have you back.
good luck today. i hope both appts go well. we're in the same boat with the cold although you're a bit ahead of us.

empathy, did you get your windows sealed well? yummy, stew sounds so good and it's better the second day.

the winds were howling all night, so i was up too early. tomorrow is my turn for back to back appts. dr and CT - dread both as well. tomorrow is the last day above freezing, so that's a bit of a help. still a bit under the weather.
good news is that my cousin is out of the hospital - his BP and blood sugar were out of control, so he's stable.
mother is still pretty sick. i'm pretty sure it's the flu, but i can't get to where she lives to drag her to the dr.
so today i'm laying low again. luckily i have some good leftovers, too.

Routine is comforting. Hello my lovlies

I've had a busy weekend. I took my sister and brother to where I go dancing every weekend and showed them the unhinged side of myself. It was nice to see those two unwind for the first time in many years and to see them really smile. I don't drink so I could bring them home safely. My sister's neighbor happened by and he was shocked that she had a sister and we had never met and that I lived so close. He had met all her other family members over the years but never 'her rocker sister'. I was never invited to family functions. I just smiled and shrugged. Life is what it is.

Dance monkeys dance!!!! Love you all. I am so looking forward to this new year.

I also went to a seniors home and sat with a friends friend who has a unique childhood. He mother was German and her father was Dutch and I happen to be working on this documentary on childhood memories of war and she agreed to do an interview. We spent the afternoon talking about lots of things and she was just lovely as always.

enigma, it sounds like a very fun weekend and a very interesting visit. my sister's friends had no idea i existed either...pretty similar story.

i could sit and talk to older people all day to hear history as they lived it. i'm so glad that you're doing this.
