dixie, i guess it's a good thing you have a date and can start planning. of course, there's anxiety with a surgery date, so i hope you can find a way to reflex. i hope that will give you some time to arrange the finances. i just know that they'll work with you. i hope that doesn't worry your dh too much, but i'm sure he's concerned about taking care of his family.

Finally a date. Dix you are looking at it the best way in that in 8 weeks it will be over with. Both of you are in my prayers.

I will try to come to Memphis and see you if I can find a place that wii let Romeo stay. He is going to be very upset with me when I get home. He is staying with one of my friends who has a little min pin and a miniature Pom.

O ya'll I am so mad!!! Dh (the d does not stand for dear) called last night and said to cancel his apt. That he could not make it back in time. I'm furious!!! He said he didn't know what he was thinking when he agreed to the date. Said to make it one week later. He is going to mess around and this cancer is going to start growing back!!! It has me in tears I am so mad!! He is playing with fire!!!

I am so sorry he's making this even more difficult by not cooperating. Having chronic divorce syndrome myself, I've always thought the 'd' stood for something else!

Ya know...it might do the boys good to actually hear the word NO sometimes. If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be any good for any of them and you have so much ahead of you!

I know that driver's like your husband do not always have a choice on their return. With all this bad weather, deliveries have been delayed and re-routed. I don't know your husband's business, so I don't know if this is the case.

I am sorry this is throwing you into a flare. Try to find a way to find your inner calm. You need to take care of you so you can be there for your DH. I know the big "C" is scary as H*ll, but you need to put it into God's hands and take it off your shoulders. Your job now is to work with the doctors and hold your husband's hand. I have been on both sides of this scene. It is hard to stay calm, but it is the only way to get through it all. I am not saying don't have your moments of tears, just don't let yourself get lost in the fear. You are a strong person and have many friends praying for you.

P.S. Some of the creditors used to let you pay only interest for a month or two during unemployment or family crisis. Call them including your mortgage company and see if any of them have any flexibility. It may no longer be available, but it does not hurt to ask. Also, some stated have emergency funds for utility payments and I believe housing payments. If you are on disability and he is unable to work, there may be programs available to help on some of the living expense.

OMGosh ya'll I am a nervous wreck! I am so sick to my stomach. I just called to Reschedule my husband ssurgery. The nurse told me that she didn't know if the surgery could be rescheduled or not. I asked her if we were waiting to long to have the surgery based on his last radiation treatment, She said that Dr. Chandler said February was indeed too late. Now I am in a panic. He is in WA state. Still not unloaded. Still doesn't have a load home. If he has to dead head home that will be terribly expensive on us. If we abandon the truck out there that will mean we won't even have grocery money for two months. But regardless if they can't reschedule this surgery date he HAS to get home !!! What a mess!! He should have stayed home in the first place and never gone out!!! He makes me so mad! I told him not to go out!!! Men ! Why do they have to be so damn stubborn ?! Why can't they ever listen to their wives?! Why?!

Oh no! He needs to get himself back in time to keep the surgery date. Isn't there some assistance available to get you through the next couple months? I'm sorry he has made this process more difficult than it already was.
