We should have had coffee this morning Dixie. I was up at 4am. We had school closing Wednesday due to the gravel roads being to slippery what with rain on the icy roads. Nice the kiddos in your area get a long weekend.

Today I think we will venture to the American Legion post and pay up our dues and check on the well being of friends. Other than that it will be a lazy day.

Well, son of a gun! It was 37 degrees when I got up...raining hard. The temperature is now dropping and the messy weather is on it's way.

1: 44 in the afternoon, ive just got back from town having done a bit of shopping, its hat weather!
I picked out some boots mum and dad are buying me for Christmas : )
Dont know what its like shopping at Christmas time over there, but here in the shopping mall manners and courtesy seem to to go out the window! Pple just barge their way through.
This afternoon i have to venture out again with the shopping trolly and get the weekly grocery shopping.

As huge as internet shopping has become, you still see crowds in the stores! Nothing says Merry Christmas like people fighting over bargains!

my sleep schedule is all messed up, so i was awake most of the night and managed a nap fro 6-10am, but i feel worse off with this cold. it was so warm here last night (70's) we had a big thunderstorm. i can't seem to get my day started now.

Officially noon here...so I will say good afternoon.

So far we have dodged the freezing rain and received sleet. The ground is covered instead of the trees. So we are white. More expected and hoping it will be snow. Everything in a 75-100 mile radius pretty much closed.
School closings started going out yesterday about 1. No precipitation but it known to come.

I mentioned the bright red X at the base of my neck....well it had faded but was still there..I had to reschedule the Facet Injections .

Kim I hope you find some projects to occupy your time and some chores for the boys.

Cherry you had a heat wave compared to us. I am sure you have dropped by now though. Hope you find one of those strong sons to clear your walkways after the dump. Please be careful if you go out to get wood.

Empathy I have always planted myself at home from Thanksgiving to after Christmas in regards to the big box stores. We do our grocery shopping on the off hours. I am a cyber shopper. No rude people there. Not only are people rude in the shops but they will pull right into a parking spot you have been patiently waiting for. During the holiday shopping season I have seen it all and it can make you loose faith in humanity.

Joyce I hope you and hubby find all your friends well and enjoy a nice visit. In my first marriage my FIL ran the American Legion where we lived. We went there many a Friday night. Good people and lots of activities for a small town,

Cindi I just love the grand's birthday parties. Wonder what that little girl is getting from her gramma. You sound pretty excited. Good to hear the foot isn't so bad today. Hopes up it will be manageable for the party and you can stay for awhile.

This morning I found my gal Budgie (black lab) with her behind sitting in my laundry basket. It was empty except for her. Sure love my fur babies. Love it when Romeo takes the "I am gonna get you stance" with the two labs. They look at him like he is crazy.

Serenity sorry missed you. I started my post and got sidetracked. You have the weather we had on Wednesday. Hope you don't get the weather we have today.

On your cold.....well this is yucky but it might help....salt mixed with bottled water....use it to irrigate your nose and get all the gunk out. If you don't have a tool to irrigate pour some of the solution in a saucer and gently snort it. Also warm salt water gargle. For coughing....old time remedy....Vicks on soles of feet and then socks.
It really works. So sorry you are still under the weather. Need to get out before the real weather hits.

I just saw a cold remedy on Facebook recently. Mix 14 tsp cinnamon with 1 tsp honey and take it twice a day. It's claimed to be antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal! That covers just about everything!

Worth a try?

Add garlic and it is like an antibiotic.

Apple cider vinegar with that would also help. There are so many healing properties in ACV.
