TY all so much. We got the biopsy results...it is cancer. Wen. We see two cancer dr.'s one will do chemo and the other will do radiation. There will also be a pet scan ordered to see if the cancer has spread. I pray it hasn't. The dr. Is in outraging in that it can be cured.....but no guarantees . Long road ahead of us for sure.
This has me very upset and stressed and my pain has taken a turn for the worse. Migraine all day today.....all this has me so upset because I need to be strong for him and be his care taker when he gets sick and here I am barely able to function. I need to get over this and get strong some how.

Oh my friend, I am just reading this. I am so sorry that you are facing this new challenge. Positive thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know cancer is very scary and it is so hard to find a way to stay strong and positive. Just keep reminding yourself that they have come a long way in treating cancer with many positive outcomes.

Don't let yourself feel that you have to take on the entire burden yourself. You have children old enough to help. Hopefully you have a church family, or friends willing to help out with the children if you need help.

I live in the world with no insurance. From what I understand there are lots of programs to help people with the need to treat cancer. Find a social worker at your cancer center and see what they can offer.

You are in my prayers. Remember to take care of yourself. You only have so many spoons per the "Spoon Theory". Your husband needs your love and support, not your exhaustion. Please pace yourself and take time to try and calm down.

Thank you RJ, actually I have been upset several times already when I've had spells that have put me to bed....I wonder how I'm going to be able to help my husband. But I will...somehow I will. We always do more than we think we can when the moment calls don't we:)

Kim we do. Somehow we do. Life is a day at a time and it takes so much to get through a day often times. Let tomorrow be, it will come and with it the strength you need to get through it will come as well.

Dear Kim, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your husband and family. Sorry to read you are facing such a challenge while dealing with your own CP issues. You are correct in saying we find strength from some where when our loved ones need us. Your heart and soul will rise to meet the challenges. It is not fair, bad things happen to good people! But I do believe in the cure statistics, and I'm praying on them.

Dh started radiation yesterday. We are still waiting on the chemo meds to come in the mail. I'm suppose to stay in the house and wait for their phone call.....apparently they need some more info before they send them. I wish they would hurry....he was suppose to start the chemo and radiation at he same time!
The nurse said it would be a couple of weeks before he felt any effects of the radiation. I don't know how fast the chemo pills start making you feel sick. Some people don't get sick at all. I sure hope that is the case for my dh but I'm worried he won't be so licky because he is sensitive to meds.

Anyway, that's my update for now.
