Hello my lovlies
I'm going to start the Tuesday thread! I just caught up on all your threads. Sorry to have caused you concern with my last friday's post. I was a bit exhausted and feeling down and will get to that in a sec.
Empathy, what kind of woodwork are you doing? Is it like a cabinet? You are right, I am aware so it's okay. Thanks.
Hippy, Alaska, have you been there before? A cruise along the coast would be so cooling. You know, Hippy, you made so much sense in you wording in your Sunday post about pain and adrenalin.
Hope you enjoyed the day with your plants, Serenity. And you know....energy vampire....I like that.....next time Peter calls......call it like it is. I'll let you know how it goes. Whats going to happen? He's going to break up with me? Ahahaha
Now, back to friday, you guys are really the best because you know what it's like to live like this. Something else has been happening and I wasn't aware of it until saturday morning. I was so hungry, like I've been for months, yet I"ve been losing weight, so I went to a restaurant and I was eating breakfast and I reached for my coffee and my hands started to shake and then it hit me......the Graves Disease is back. So I called the doctor and luckily he was still in and could see me and I went for a blood test and sure enough. I'm as hyper as the energizer bunny on crack. No wonder I wake up exhausted.....my heart is running a marathon while I sleep. So I see the doc on friday and likely the endo next week to deal with this situation. Oigh.
Anyways, I'm taking this week(s) slow until I get the thyroid under control. Love to you all for your support

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

good luck with getting the graves under control. you do seem a tad hyper, but i envy the eating all part. yikes, what a visual you gave. be careful not to wear yourself out.
good luck with peter, too. pink has a song to the effect go away, i want to miss you!
i think i have a summer cold coming on and we have big storm alerts all week, so i'm pretty low energy/low motivation.
hippy, i'd love to take an alaskan cruise. i was just telling my mother that last week. my dad used to go up there every summer for salmon fishing. cruises are great.
wishing all a good day!
Angela I would give anything to feel hyper lol. I am the opposite...have no energy at all.
Sereni r y I hope you don't have a summer cold. They r so miserable.
Hippy take me on that cruise with you;) lol I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise or any cruise really:) I will one day! Even if I have to go by myself.
I am not babysitting today. Her momma didn't have to work. That means I get to finish the journal I started. But first I think I will go back to bed and get just a little more sleep.
Hugs to all. Hope everyone has a good day.
Hippy, about 3 weeks ago you said the florida beach house was waiting for you, i just presumed you had a holiday home lol. I would love a holiday home, i would stay the whole summer, mine would be in Devon.
Seren, hoping the storms aren't that bad, often the weather changes from what they first thought, unless thats just our weather men ! Take care and dose up on vitamin c for your cold : )
Enig, at least you know whats wrong now and can work towards making yourself better. No need to apologise.
Yes the wood working was a bedside cabinet. Its been a miserable day weather wise, grey and no breeze to dry my line of washing. just pottering and not doing much, ive got work tomorrow so i'm saving my energy.
hugs
empathy, our weather people are the same in such a mountainous area surrounded by a river they really can't tell, but before i moved here towns were really wiped to the ground with tornadoes, so i think they'd rather be cautious.
i've heard about devon, but i want to look it up and see some photos. are you speaking of carpentry or carving? just wondering.
I'm not brilliant at making stuff, but i can use a saw and drill and use a screwdriver.. i can make things which work for me so to speak.
I long for own lounge to decorate and do with as i please : ) one day....
We got home yesterday and I just read through your check ins and sending my best wishes to all of you.
Life is sure an up and down journey!! Always so many things to deal with.
After being gone for five days I was sure ready to get back home.
It was fun most of the time however there were a few really tough times that I had to deal with the best that I could.
A couple of the days I was feeling pretty good and with the help of my scooter my feet, knee and hip loved me!
We treated my daughter and son in law to join us for the music festival and they had a great time but yesterday they couldn't wait to get home to the girls!
I have been resting since we got home and just not ready to get going.
I have about 4 loads sitting in the laundry room to wash and dry and just have no ambition to get going!!
Take care and try to have a good day!
HUGS Cindi
good to have you back!
empathy, that would be a tight squeeze. i enjoy DIY projects, but i don't have any space for them here, just small crafts. i looked up devon and they have a give away of a weekend trip when you scroll down. here's the link if you want to check it out. a little break wouldn't be so bad! looks so beautiful.
