Good morning...
Did any of you make it past midnight? I had no reason to even consider trying. If you were awake, I hope it wasn't because of pain. That's why my day started at 2:30.
It's 4:30 now and my meds aren't doing a thing. During the time I was sleeping, there was another little dumping of snow so my driveway is back where it was...and I have two color clients coming this morning. I know...it's supposed to be a holiday, but it's not like I have plans. The clients scheduled for today had nothing going on either so it seemed like a good idea at the time. Not so much now....
Yesterday was entirely too much. I have vowed to never book three appts. for myself on the same day ever again. My doc increased my Fentanyl patch even though I asked for an increase in the Oxycodone, instead. Oh well, I'll take what I can get. I need to drag myself into the shower so I can get that new patch on, but it will take hours before I feel any relief from it...hence my reason for wanting a stronger short acting med.
I wish I didn't have to work this morning. It's going to be torture. I don't hold out hope for the new year to be any better. No wonder my Depression kicks up a notch this time of year.

Cherry maybe a hot shower will warm you up enough that the patch will work a little faster for you.
No plans for me either... Just another day.
Going to take it easy today. So far my pain isn't too bad. But that's the way it started yesterday morning so I'm going to be careful.
Have an extra kid today... Hoping they don't get too rowdy. He's suppose to go home at 3:00 and his mom is suppose to meet me in town. I hope she does because they live a 1/2 hour drive away.

My lap already. Hope that's not a bad sign... She has really stuck with me the past four days while I've been hurting so bad:)

Don't over heat before you put the patch on..
Sure..it would work faster..
But..also run down quicker. ( you change at 72 hrs, right?)
don't take your old patch off 'till the new one's been on a couple of hours..
That helped me before I went to 48 yr change.

first off, i agree with jc about the patch. it's dangerous to put them on when you're too hot or to heat them and sticking the next one on a couple hours early as the new one starts working. hope you can pace yourself and get some rest.
dixie, hope the kids behave and you can stay warm and snuggly with nala. i love the comfort of my sweet penny purring next to me.
i had a vicious flare around 9pm and had to lie down on the heating pad, so that was all she wrote...til 2...a few more chunks of sleep if you can call it that. my body turns off and my mind goes wild...what a catch 22.
it's so cold and damp here that i will do well to move off the heating pad. i'm watching the twilight zone marathon which seems appropriate.
i'm bothered by the DS work on 1/5. hope things will improve and not take too long.

Hope the patch work fast cherry. Three appointments is a lot for you or anyone.
I'm still on the bed, this darn cold has me hot and cold. Could be a hangover in the old days, but I know better. We were in bed by 10 after a interesting dinner with bro in law family. He is a " one upper" and that gets a bit madding.
Take it easy dixe, I know after a bout of pain one must gingerly get back in the swing.

I hope the patch is working for you now Cherry. I wish we all could start the New Year "Pain Free" .
I am glad that we are here and able to support each other. It is a challenge day today for me too. My feet and my entire right side are full of pins and needles, just so much fun. I keep blacking out. And I haven't even had a New Year's drink :(
Anyway, well wishes are up for everyone. May 2013 be the best year yet. (Starting as soon as possible!)
