Can men have labor pains to get a better understanding of what women go through?

Men have hooked themselves up to a machine that creates the sensation of labor to see if they could handle the pain of childbirth.
It's the kind of pain, even when it's not exactly real, makes grown men cry.
As part of a stunt, the men were hooked up to a machine with electrodes stuck to their abdominals to simulate labor pains.
Just like the real thing, the cramping - or "contractions”, got stronger, longer, and closer together.
They say they did it so they could better empathize with women!
But not so fast, Dr. Ashton, ABC News senior medical contributor: "You can think of this as a very strong charlie horse. Is it as painful as labor? My opinion is that it isn't."
So just ‘how long’ could these two take the pain?
The average labor lasts between 12 and 14 hours, but these guys?
Well, they only lasted two!

Three labors and deliveries, all long (28hr, 19 hr, and 15 hr), 2 forcept deliveries including one full body forcept (they had to dig tool out of the basement!) broken collar bone for first born, second cord wrapped around neck twice, third one without epideral and no scissors in med pack so Doc says just push and tore UP into very tender tissue.....that one burned for a month, nurse responsible for med pack was Viola Hornsby.....won't ever forget her!
While still in labor room after #3, Doc ask DH what day he is coming in for his vasectomy...I said he had to wait til I could be there to see HIM in the stirrups!!!! Doc agreed! So day of proceedure DH has valium to take orally before leaving home, then nurse goes to hook up IV explaining its for Demeral, and told her to skip it, he was having it done NATURAL! Nurse was shocked , Doctor laughed til he cried! DH got his drugs, big baby!, and I got immense satisfaction watching DH eyes roll backwards when that tiny little tube was pulled 1/4 inch and cut.....Paybacks a Bitch Baby!
