I have a weird holiday tradition or so I've been told. It's not a holiday for me until I see my favorite movies. For Halloween I have to watch Jeepers Creepers and Final Desitnation and Charlie Brown "The Great Pumpkin" at Christmas I must watch "Its' a Wonderful Life" and " A Christmas Carol" but it has to be the one with Alastair Simms no others are the same for me and I do not like the modern remakes!!!! Now this year I am bringing back an old favorite that I forgot about "Home Alone" one and two. Oh and when I decorate the tree I have to play "The Little Drummer Boy" I simply cannot decorate a tree without that song. And every year I have to listen to "Carol of the Bells" my favorite song ever other than Drummer Boy. I think I love to watch the movies and listen to the songs because they bring back memories of happy times and it just makes me feel so good all warm and fuzzy like coming home.

& LJ made me chuckle at her newness to snow...as i always find snow virgins so cute! It is beautiful, to be sure, but then i read MsB's joke...which is a lot like my world here in WI in the winter, and laughed my butt off!!!
Nothing is more frustrating than to get all bundled up to go shovel, and find you have to pee!
ummm..."holiday traditions" ...don't really have any anymore...am still kinda swimmin' in rough waters since the losses of family here...but i do like the eggnog with a toffee square or two...mebbe that counts, as i haven't given those up...as a tradition?

Traditions... well... nothing has changed here. I decorate the house and bake cookies and indulge in buying myself things that I would like to have. This year Santa is bringing me 2 new blue plaid sherpa throws for my living room, an ice tea maker, 2 pair of new really soft pajamas and a thingy to carry wood for the fireplace into the house that has wheels. My kids never seemed to be interested in traditions of any kind when they were growing up so I have always done it FOR MYSELF. Still do. I have never let them take that away from me so I'm not going to start now. Oh yeah... and Christmas is not Christmas without Bing Crosby and the movie White Christmas!
