It's getting up to 90f at 3pm according to my weather app.
I've been round and watered my garden and I'm sweating doing it with buckets of water back and forth to the outside tap.
I'm convinced I'm using more water this way than using a hose pipe because I'm pouring the water out the bucket.
I'm going to do some baking and make glace cherries and almond fairy cakes. Same as muffins but they are much smaller.
Just chilling here apart from that and trying to keep cool.
Joanne, sorry to hear about Jeff at your Library. We don't use our landline either other than the line for the internet. We are paying for the internet and the phone separately which is obviously costing more but Doug is a dinosaur and he's paying for it and it's in his name so despite heated discussion, not a lot I can do, I've tried and tried.
Carly I hope all goes well with Mike's appointment tomorrow, are you going with him? The catheter through the groin one, I'm sure dad had that years ago, they injected a dye in to see if there are any narrow or blocked areas. The other test the ultrasound on your heart I've had that one.
Leo thinking of you

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

TMI/TLDR: Ickies ickies everywhere and 8 more days to go!
Sandra, speaking as a farm kid, we'd pour uphill and let gravity take the water down, but you may not have that option. I do. (Still and always a mountain gal.) In our drought, hwoever, the water gets about 4 inches and pfft! Hot here, too. :-(
Joanne, honestly, I have a labndline solely b/c where I live our cells often ahve no service. So no landline means no 911. EEp.
Carly, keep us updated! HUGS HUGS HUGS to you, and don't worry, that catheter procedure doesn't even faze my notoriously fussy mom :-)
Off ot watch my cat watch squirrels run up and down an fallen tree in our yard. And next week is a family reunion. Then Hubby's super-specialist. Then the college kids come back. Then I .... sleep"?
It was surreal walking into the library and seeing Jeff's door closed. I'm writing the board recommending Elisa, head librarian, is considered for Director. And we only had half the food due to Jeff not being there to buy the extra food.
Sandra, when I lived on land and had water restrictions I bought tree bags that held water and slowly watered the garden. Best idea ever!
Leo, the uterus is a mysterious part of of women. I do hope antibiotics worked, they saved my MIL from progressing to sepsis.
Carly, please relax about Mike's testing. He really needs to have it done, to see what is going on with his heart. Been there done that and it provided answers. Hate your heat.
I'm in AC but still don't want to cook anything. If I could I'd snack my way through life. Sandra, you are brave to turn on the oven and back in this heat. Enjoy!
PEACE
Mike is getting better about not yelling at me. I think he is finally realising that my job of caring for him is non-stop. The pharmacy is not sending alerts letting me know the much needed meds are here. I have been on the phone all day. It is getting late and still no text for the meds.
Sandra, I hope your garden is well. I think the appointment is to talk about the procedure of going though the groin. I am all about talking. If only Mike would hush and listen. I may have to tell him just that tomorrow.
Leo, Your health issues do not sound great at all. I especially worry about the bleeding. I hope all those many meds help.
Joanne, I am snacking my way through life. This is my life and I am ok with it until I see my weight on the scale. I am thinking that I need to eat a real meal.
I feel a very early morning coming on. And because Mike needs sleep, I of course feel the need to go to bed. But I have decided that I am not going to. I want to but still more meds to give. I need soooo much time for me. It is never coming. I just need to take a good deep breath. I pray for it.
Wishing everyone a very good night and a wonderful day tomorrow.
xoxo
