And NEVER wear anything the same color as ANY color in the color scheme or life can get complicated.... People get very weirded out by these things.
hmm I'm thinking here oh the things popping up in mind....the stripper, don't bring him/her as a date either
Don't bring the video of the bachelor paty!
True story. Friend was asked to videotape the ceremony by some other friends. (I was there. Bridesmaid.) Well, he had also videotaped the bachelor party.... and instead of record? as the bride walked down the aisle to the (recorded) harp music of "Here Comes the Bride"? The whole church suddenly hears a very loud blaring "I want your sex" by George Michael, accompanied by the audio of the groom and his friends reacting to the, ahem, "entertainer" the previous night.
Bride toughed it out, head up, dignity intact, while viodetaping friend was rapidly ejected from church. Then came cake-cutting. Groom timidly gave her a tiny bite on a fork. She knocked his head into the whole cake screaming, "A STRIPPER YOU SON OF A BLEEP! YOU SAID YOU JUST WATCHED DIRTY MOVIES!"
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Hubby and I had a small small small tiny tiny civil ceremony with a quick lunch after. COunting new clothes, bloodwork, etc., whole cost came in under $500.... which was about the cost of the cake in that above incident...
BTW, they're still married.
When I drove horses and carriage I did this wedding one time. The bride found out that her groom slept with the maid of honour a few days earlier. Well I pick them up at and head for the church.I thought this was a little odd picking them both up since I normally only picked up the bride before the wedding. I was told the bride wanted them to go together, I soon learned why While they were around family the bride appeared really happy, very cheerful saying that this was the most wonderful day in her life, Once we pulled away, and were alone, all hell broke loose. She non stopped chewed him out until we got to the church. When we got closer to the church she was back to the happy cheerful facade. She went in and he sat in the carriage with this shell shocked look on his face. I turned and quietly said it's not too late run. He just faked a smile and with a deep sigh, headed in. I'm sitting outside with the team listening to the ceremony through the open church windows waiting to hear fireworks, but didn't. They came out and once again the bride was thanking everyone for make this special day even better. They got back in the carriage and we pulled away, they were talking casually and I thought, as I let out my own sigh that the chewing out was over. Boy was I wrong, it was worse. I should also add she was a rather solid Italian woman, with eyes that you know to definitely not mess with her, she had that power. It went momentarily quiet, then the fireworks began again, but this time more like WW2 Blitz crede shelling! She smacked him a few times and I could feel those blows from where I was sitting, I though about bailing out and running myself and even the normally frisky horse were really subdued. The groom tried desperately to change the subject and suggested to stop for a burger. He tells me to stop at the burger joint and she says no. I learned early on to always respect the wishes of the bride, so I continued to take them to where they were getting pics taken. Finally the bride say yes lets grab a burger. So I had to backtrack with this row of cars following me. She's still chewing him out as we finally pull into the parking lot. Once the row that's following all stop and park and people start getting out of their vehicles, the brides back to her pleasant self. So they're eating inside while my team and i pose for a barrage of pictures. Once they were done and back in and we pulled away, the fireworks began where she left off, non stop. I get them to get there pics and when they were done and walking back to the carriage to head to the reception, I truly thought by the relaxed look about the bride that the Blitz was finally over. Hell No! This continued, non stop and I was so flustered that I made a wrong turn, thus extending the misery. We finally get to the reception hall and she's back to Mrs, Congeniality I'm in the corner of the parking lot unharnessing the horse waiting for the trailer and letting many deep sighs and breaths out. So were the horse, even they seemed glad it over. Most weddings took about 12 hrs to do (from barn back to barn) and this one was out of town so it was around 16 hrs, by the time I closed the stall doors. When I got home my wife was still up and I must had a shell shocked look on my face also, since she asked me what happened. She thought I had a wreck or something happened to one of the horses. it was a job I truly loved, just not that day lol
Guess she shouldn't have brought the groom to the wedding?!
I was a bridesmaid 5 times (woulda been 6 but that one got cancelled).... each wedding was a disaster of some kind....
So.... wedding One was the Infamous Video Incident
Wedding two: The minister didn't like the groom so talked earnestly about the ease of divorce in the modern era. (Shoulda left HIM at home that day.)
Wedding Three: Someone brought moonshine.
So yeah, do NOT bring moonshine into the church! (Reception, yes. Church, NO NO NO NO NO)
Wedding Four: The groom fell over in a faint. Crunch. Face-planted right into the floral arrangement.
Wedding Five: The bride burst into hysterical tears and then said calmly, "I'm sorry everyone it 's just because I'm pregnant" which was a bit of a shocker ot all involved, apparently, b/c her parents sure hadn't been told....
Yeah.
Altho' nothing quite tops the "You cheating scum" fireworks bride who wouldn't let it go!
Yeep!
You and the poor horses musta been about ready to high-tail it to another time zone.... maybe take the groom, too....
Blaine why the heck would the woman marry him! I'd thump him good and ride into the sunset! sheesh we'res the pride and to think they're still married......go figure
