Good morning to all.
Yesterday my knee popped and it hurt bad, then the pain went away. We went to lunch which requires quite a bit of walking to and from the bus, and we always choose the buffet. It hurt a little when walking, but not that much. I came home and sat in the chair for awhile and then I could hardly walk when I got up. Good old Ben Gay and some rest has done it wonders. It still hurts, but not so bad that I cannot stand it. Oh and Motrin helped too. Poor Ed gets so upset over the smallest things. He has a huge worry wart. He will be glad when he gets up that it is not so bad. I'll take it easy today and see how it feels tomorrow.

i have to head downtown today after voting...just a few things to pick up b/c i'm going grocery shopping with mother wednesday to my favorite grocery story. i'm taking her some white beans and hopefully getting a quilt back since the nights are getting so chilly. i need to rest up some more today. so those are my only plans except to make some hash to go with the beans. i have frozen cornbread.
not a big day, but enough for me. who knows if i'll get any more return phone calls from the nursing home - 1 out of 4 came yesterday.

Grammagus, I'm sorry you hurt your knee when you went out walking yesterday. Have you had problems with that area before? I pray it's nothing serious and hope you can just sit and relax today and let it heal up. That is sweet that Ed was so concerned about you.
Serenity, the weather has finally cooled off there too . I know it's been freezing here in Boston, but it's supposed to get back up to the 60's for a day or 2. Crazy weather. I'm glad you're finally getting answers from the nursing home . Hopefully;, you can get that all cleared up. You've been working so hard on trying to make sure dad is okay and has what he needs.
Today, I have to vote, do some laundry, I have a foot dr. appt. to get these ingrown toenails cut out and I'll do my work out. I'll do my workout at the house though today. I won't have time to go to the gym, but as long as I can get some kind of workout in, I'll be happy
I pray everyone has a low pain day with low stress.

Grammagus, I'm so sorry you hurt your knee. I hope with rest, ice, Bengay & Motrin it will be okay. It's sweet that Ed is so concerned. It sounds like you have one special hubby. I hope your able to just relax and do nothing today. What ever your day ends up holding I hope it's a wonderful day.
Serenity, bless your heart for all your doing for your dad. I hope you get some more answers today. Please pace yourself when your out & about. I hope you get some rest when you get home and enjoy a relaxing day.
Mary Ellen, don't you just hate ingrown toenails?! I've had a few that brought me to the Dr. Then while at Walgreens I found the same instrument my Dr used so I'm able to handle it myself. Please take it easy doing your errands. I hope when you get home you can kick your feet up and relax.
I'll be making a Dr. Appt hopefully for today. My temp spiked to 103.1 last night & this morning I looked at my bad leg and it's gone bright red all the way above the knee. Looks like I have a good sunburn. This morning I need to wrap up hubby's Xmas gifts from our fur babies & somehow I need to hide a big box that was delivered yesterday. I had ordered a couple things for hubby for Xmas. I am so thankful for online shopping. After I finish those things I plan on trying this thing called sleep lol!

Grammagus, ouch! Sorry about your knee. Have you ever had torn cartilage? Might be worth checking this out with your doctor. In the meantime, you're handling it like a trooper. That old BenGay has been a staple in my house for many years. Now that you seem to be on the mend, that will probably ease Ed's mind. Easy does it.
Serenity, glad you're getting out today and voting. Have fun at the store and yes! to getting your quilt from your mother's house! I hope you have a good day.
Mary Ellen, glad your doc is going to fix your toes. I have ingrown toenails on my big toes. I need to get mine taken care of but can't handle any more poke and prodding right now. So I torture myself every month by getting rid of them the hard way. Your doctor is, I'm sure, more delicate about removing them than I am , LOL! I know you're hurting. Lisa, omg! You really need to get in to see that doctor today! You & I both know the redness is so not a good sign with your history with cellulitis. Think he'll want you to go to the hospital for IV antibiotics? And a fever on top of it? You must be miserable. Please update us as soon as you know something. I've been online shopping for the kids. Thank God for online shopping. I don't know what to get Hal for Christmas. What do you get a guy who has everything? Looks like more clothes comin' his way! I hope you rest well and get in to see the doc today. Gentle hugs.
It's raining!! Yippeee! I had to slip away from the computer to get Jack in the house. He was sitting in the patio chair and the rain was steadily moving towards him. He didn't want to come in when I checked on him now and then. I had to make a command decision and pick him up, carry him in and towel him off. I did Max earlier. Now, after a good scratching, Jacks off to bed and Max is doing I don't know what. Cats!
I've got my refill appt today. Then it's back to the house to try and wrap presents. Gotta stay ahead of the game as well as I can. I hope those here and who follow have a warm, dry day!

I am back after a short vacation day yesterday. Pretty sad but I slept 17 out of the 24 hours I was off. I suppose I needed it but hate to spend my vacation day like that. Looks like winter is coming, snow scheduled for Friday. I was always get depressed in early Nov as the weather turns and then I wake up around Tgiving. I love Tgiving, my fav holiday.
Gramma- Im married to a worry wart too. I know how it is. She drives me nuts Worry worry worry haha
Seren- hope you enjoy groc store tomorrow. I have yet to visit my friend Bob in nursing home but hoping to go soon. It is about 45 min away. My other friend went to visit and said it is not nice.
ME- You are so busy! You run circles around me. Wish I could work out. Did you get snow Sunday. I was wtching the Pats game
Di- I love online shopping too. I have embraced it. I have 13 nieces and nephews! I dont buy for all of them but most. Easy online peasy. Ingrown toenails are painful arent they? maybe im thinking of losing a toenail, that is painful tee hee

Lisa-it sounds like you need IV Vancomycin for your cellulitis-Jeb live with it for years so I understand how sick you are. You are one strong gal-I can't function with 101* fever. Keep us posted. Prayers out to you.
Dianna-Cats-love mine and then wonder urgh! Sho-Sho is the weirdest and the highest jumper ever. She chews hard plastic. After the refil wrap and relax.
My avi is a LLama dressed as a turkey. Today I will cook the pork roast in the pressure cooker and divide it into meals. Then use my seal a meal and freeze. Love my seal a meal. Then onto carrot soup and broccoli slaw fro dinner.
Tomorrow I will make a lemon meringue pie for Dad. He is not nervous about the pacemaker on Friday as he would like more energy and his heart rate faster. Such a trouper!
Dreams of Carlos Santana eating arroz con pollo with me in a boat. Weird dream with zantagle overlays. Then I woke up and thought maybe I should get back to my zantangle art. Hmmm, have gazillion other house things that need done.

i heard last night that my uncle is living alone in my grandpas house, he has no food no car no job while his bro and sisters are all living it up. this makes me very sad. he said it was a fiasco when grandpa passed away...somehow the will just disappeared. hmmmm. im going to get a care package together and mail it to him. i invited him up to visit. hubby even said hed open his house to him. we will see what happens.
im going to take it easy today. its raining, perfect day for soup and biscuits. enjoy the day

Serenity hope the temps are good for you while you're out and about the next couple of days. I've got my pot of beans on right now. We have to be the most eating bean group at DS! Trophy!!!
Ew and Aw ME! Sorry you have to get those nails done! That hurts like the dickens! Treat yourself somehow someway afterwards. At least you're going to have a couple of warm days to look forward to.

Seek, my heart so goes out to you and the ongoing pain. I wish to God, they would give you something to ease the pain. Are you waiting for results of a test? You are much loved here. I don't think you realize how helpful you are to others here. Please feel better.
