Hello circle friends! I've had a couple super busy weeks but I'm back. Spent one week preparing for my grandsons (groceries, laundry, cleaning) and then had Noah (10) for 8 nights and his brother Oliver (7)for the last three. It was a busy time and super hot the whole week they were here but we had alot of fun. I look forward to their visit every summer even though it wears me out.
Being wore out has its benefits though. The last 2 nights both boys were here I slept right through! That never happens!
We're in our second week of heat wave here but I think it's finishing up in the next day or two and we'll get some rain. I don't handle the heat well so I can't wait.
We've had another few cases on the virus here - 5 announced yesterday but so far we've had no community spread. School will start on September 8th and I expect many will send their kids as it feels pretty safe here.
Noah lives with his dad in Halifax, NS where it isn't as good as here but no where near what the states are going throug . I'm nervous about him going back and going to school. He even said he doesn't feel safe going to school. I hope his dad will choose to let him stay here this school year. We'd all feel much better about it. Everyone still has the option to do online school though.

Lisa-that is a cool picture of the grandkids. Glad you get to visit with them, here at our place we are not visiting anyone due to the virus.
Today is you oldest son's birthday. He was born on Friday the 13th as was my oldest daughter. Weird! He weighed almost 10 pounds, was 23 inches long and the OB said he bet Rico would be at least 6'5"...he is 6'7" and his son is 6'8". We are not tall but my grandparents were which is again weird for those days.
Today has been a good day so far with no colon issues. Waiting for insurance to ok new CTE cat scan for my lower abdomen. Just want this over with.

I jumped in the shower and put some ribs onto steam this morning. Had a return phone call to make and ran to the store before yet another storm hit. Its nothing like the one we had the other day, but I didn't care to get myself or my groceries wet.
I keep seeing hummingbirds at my feeder and today a special treat flying in y Bush, new swallows, just taking off. They're barely bigger than hummingbirds and so cute. I just love them.
I've been so moody the last 2 days, not sure what is going on with me there are too many options. Then I found out my dad finally took my mom to the doctor and she does have alheimers. My brother said my dad told him that, I need to talk to my dad about it my brother wouldn't know there are different conditions. He said my mom told him my dad was divorcing her to move across the street in with another woman. This is a reoccurring theme , my dad is cheating all the time and leaving. Its really not hard to pick up the fears and with her for some time desires.
Think I just need to focus on relaxing today.

Hi there Toni, there's so much is going on now. your ribs sounds scrumptious, i bet they will be real good. glad your dad took your mom to be seen. alheimers is so devastating my heart goes out to you and yours. hummingbirds are such a fun time to watch, Scott put several feeders up along with wild bird seeds for the feeders. hope you feel better.
lets see....lotsa work on Area 51. um...what else going on tomorrow for emergency extraction. not ready for that, at least ill have the weekend to rest. moms helping a lot. hope to be back on my feet Monday

Ninja sista! Of course you're thought of and missed! Ouch sorry to hear about the tooth, know that's a trying one for you and they hurt like demons! Best wishes on tomorrow . Yeah it sucks about my mom, but I've known something was wrong for years. I know I cant fix it, but I have a few things planned. Go Area 51!
Took a nap and feel a bit better. This non stop coughing has been getting to me. I'm allergic to most syrups and allergy meds so it's challenging as to what to do. Not smoking was suppose to stop it!!!

Toni-had our DNA done by Ancestry and 23&Me. From Mom's side-Irish, English, Native American. From Dad's side, French, Irish and surprise........Ashkenazi Jewish. Since my Dad's father was killed when Dad was an infant and was a French immigrant we knew nothing about that side of the family. His dad was murdered for being either French/railroad employee or making bootleg whiskey. The newspaper articles said anyone of those were valid. Never caught the person.
