Since it is close to Halloween, I thought black and orange tarts for breakfast. Chocolate tarts with orange marmalade filling. Oooh, I'm making myself hungry.
Yesterday was another rest day. I believe we will take it really easy this week. We actually need the room where the desk sits for more boxes The church guys will come and get the desk on Sunday after church, then we will have some more room.
Today, finally, the manager will come fix my toilet. I'm glad it was a slow leak, not a gusher. I wrapped a heavy towel around the base and it has held the water from leaking out from under the toilet.
I haven't worked on my friend's baby blanket in a couple days. I did babysit for a couple hours yesterday. I am getting a little bit of cash and trying to put it aside for some extra for the trip.
My great grandson went home from the hospital on Sunday. He is doing better. At 11 months old it is hard to understand what is going on when you have chickenpox and pneumonia. and then he ends up in a strange place where people poked and prodded. I am so glad he is home.

i'm glad you're resting a bit, too. packing is huge work, esp in an apartment where there isn't much place to move and store things. i guess apt managers are apt managers. yours sounds similar to mine in their lack of speediness.
boy, your church is really going to miss you and all your handiwork. i bet you'll be getting mail orders.
i'm just going to move some clothes around today. every time i work on shifting things for the seasons, it warms up and if i happen to leave anything uncovered i find miss penny napping on them. i barely left a drawer open yesterday and she managed to crawl in there. she looked so guilty peering out when i realized!
even though it was in two stages, i slept pretty well.
i have about 5 containers in the fridge with two bites each, so i'll clean those and get some beans on and see what else i can get into. posting some things on etsy and other computer stuff...

Happy Tuesday to all. Woke up with a screaming headache today, about a 9. I took my meds at home around 7:30 as I could not wait. Thankfully they kicked in. I may pay later. I posted some pics on here last nite. Finally figured out my iphone. I see some have already seen them. Thank you for looking.

Grammagus, those tarts sound delish! I'm so glad your grandson is home. God Bless him! I hope this is the last time he ever has to be poked or prodded again. Why is it Apartment Managers are all the same, SLOW..that's just ridiculous that he hasn't come yet. Thank God it's not a gusher. You're right Serenity, those church people are going to miss you Grammagus, but I'm sure most will be calling you with orders and just because they are going to miss their sweet friend. I'm glad you're taking a rest this week. I hope Ed is doing well.
Serenity, I'm glad you slept, even if it was broken in two parts. That's too funny about Penny. They love a nice warm place to hide out don't they? I hate when I end up with a ton of containers in the fridge like that. I feel like I wasted so much, but sometimes just don't have the appetite for anything. I hope you enjoy your day honey.
Well didn't get any relief yesterday. Have to have an injection under a scope so they get it in between the muscle on the 28th. Always a waiting game. I got a call last night and a woman was on the other end and is coming today to buy those chairs that I was selling. The other woman called on Sunday and decided, after I held them for 2 days, that she didn't want them. So I was glad to get this call. I'm trying to get rid if stuff so when I do find another apartment, I don't have any extra stuff to take with me.
No big plans today, going to the gym in a few and then I'm going to come home and cook a turkey breast for dinner. I'll check in later.

Grammagus watch out mentioning food around me, serenity had me making muffins yesterday! Good to hear you're slowing down a bit and giving your bodies the chance to rest. Keep doing slow stretches it will help when you go back to it. Yay on getting your toilet fixed! Triple yay on your grandson going home!!!

I'm not sure what I'm doing today. My pups got me up early and though I've been thru the usual routine I'm still foggy headed. I use to tell my kids "come on you're moving like a herd of turtles!" I'm one of the turtles now. Another one that use to drive them crazy but did the trick? In a Very high pitch voice every morning to wake them up to get ready for school "Wake up little Rose Buds......Wake Up". Which I always got a Mom! oh my gosh! If someone done that to me I'd probably throw something at them!

Minnie's has been down too and she is having problems getting back on DS. I gave her our link last night so hopefully she'll be back on soon.

sorry you woke with a headache Martin. i'm glad you were able to post some pics. ill go look at them after i post here, im sure they are fabulous. i wanna see that martini with those blue cheese olives! lol i hate that you have to wait another week for pain relief Mary Ellen. i hope you enjoy your time at the gym then can get those chairs sold. its nice a second buyer came forward.
hubby left at 8 to pick up a tractor hes renting for the day to repair the driveway.im a nervous wreck. i wish i had a friend here with me while hes out there working on it. ill be here in DS land A LOT to help me thru it. ill go out and record a video of his progress.

I'm waking up slowly today. The back is better, I think. Maybe a fibro flare got a hold of me. Who knows? I'm putting on a crockpot of chili beans in a few. Otherwise I'll see what kind of trouble I can get into. I hope everyone has a manageable pain day. And Lisa, it won't be the same until you get back here!

Erika you are now a certified redneck! yep when the sound of that engine running sooths you it makes you classified! ha. I use to mow my lawn with a bush whacker on the back end until my arms couldn't take it anymore. Finally sold it for a much smaller one. You are so.....talking my kind of food!! Man that sounds good! Hmm going to have to put that on my grocery list and blow my healthy diet to hell LOL. Polsa Kielbasa is my weakness and you threw in pepper jack!
Oh my gosh crazynutwoman that avi cracks me up! Hope you behaved yourself a wee little bit today ;) Hey how's the diet going? No sweets right? I've been a good girl and none for me either, cause I ate them all already tee hee.
I've changed my beddings, which always leads to tons of laundry ugh. Made hamburger stroganoff. Hey I ate hamburger this month! and pasta! Have to say it is very tasty. So use to my usual stuff, nice to get off track every once in awhile. I am going to have to make Erika's meal, one of my favs I haven't had in awhile.
Ready to lay back and just relax, just have to put a blanket in the dryer and woo la. Fix another plate of food and turn on one of my recorded shows and catch up.

Fingers crossed this will go through. Uuuugh it sucks living in the middle of the boondocks. I haven't had this big of a problem since AT&T rolled out the iPhone 5. Both hubby & I had a 3 & loved it. We could always get a signal when no one else could. After the roll out it was Ify for a good 4/5 months. Same things happening now since the 6 hit the market. Back with the 5 I thought there had to be a correlation between the two & after talking with a rep back then in not so many words said yep. It's nothing more (IMHO) than a behind the scenes marketing ploy to get people to buy the latest & greatest. When I decided to upgrade a year & a half ago, I purposely didn't buy the 5 because of the issues people I knew where having. I chose the 4g instead & have loved it until now..........Anyhoooo
That's the first part, the other is when I have been able to get on DS I'll go to post and the screen starts to send & then just sits there. It doesn't even time out. I had written out check in responses yesterday morning finished and nada. Kept trying throught the morning to mid afternoon, nada. So this morning around 5am I wrote up the morning check in nada!! Uuuuggh!!! Then I lost my signal Uuuugh!! Getting the picture LOL! Okay, I'm better now lol!
Martini, thank you so very much for passing my issue on, but did you really need to tell everyone the "real" reason I couldn't get here sheesh! LOL....
