44F it was very foggy, this was taken awhile ago and it reminded me of what was going on in my mind.
Mom is still here and for her that is not what I want. She needs to be at peace. We were there so many hours and I'm so exhausted that today I won't do anything but veg and watch a movie, a ghostly one.
Sandra, a strange thought came to me, when we lose our parents are we orphans? It is such a strange feeling to be in a wait and see mode. What was interesting is going through Mom's life of awards that we didn't know. She was a brilliant and popular student, many awards that we were surprised about, mainly because Mom was always about what she wanted. Very interesting she didn't share.
Carly, my sister and I both get dressed for the day and always have on our make-up. We think it's genectics because our grandmother always dressed, they lived next door and we shared the farm. It was a community that often spoke about that family where the girls, Mom and Gram didn't dress or look like farmers or ranchers, LOL! Here in the moorage there is that same comment! Happy win for Cash!!!
Leo, hope you are better!
The Oregon coast is having wicked ocean storms with King Tides over flowing banks, and then on the East Coast wicked ocean flooding and hurricanes. It is a nightmare for lack of caring or help with the Orange One.
PEACE

Yes, Doug and say we are orphans :'(
When my dad died the grief hit a little different. When we lose 1 parent we still have the other one, and then when they die you feel it.
I don't know how to explain it..
Or maybe that's just me and how I felt.
You do grieve differently for each parent anyway because of the relationship you had with each one.
I wish peace for your mum.
And yes it's so interesting going through their stuff after.
When mum died my sister sent off for records of the childrens home's she was at . I wish my mum had known about her birth father and the children he had from a previous relationship.
Praying for the least storm damage.
Carly yay cash won how exciting. Sounds like a nightmare journey though. We watched a film about kong and Godzilla lol
Leo if that's what you get done when sick what are you like when healthy lol
76f here. I will say that I was dreading going to big game because of the heat but I was really surprised that we were in the shade with all the trees. There was actually a cool breeze and it was so welcome.
Joanne, I am sort of thinking that your mom is at peace. Surely and hopefully she doesn't know what is going on.
My goodness, you are so right about being orphan's. I never thought about it until you said it.
Why do we have to find out things about our parent's when they are gone? Who can we ask? Why couldn't they share so we could ask?
I hope you are doing ok with the wicked weather up north.
Sandra, I know what you are talking about with losing our parent's. I grieve so different for my Dad these day's because my mum was later and focused on that. As time passes it seems to come together. Not sure exactly how to explain it.
On a lighter note I just wanted to say that I found a great recipe that was called a No Peek Chicken, meaning that to just cover it and not peek.
But of course I did! It was so much better than the Never lift the lid on the slow cooker. I stirred and tasted and made it better. :-) Hey, How old was that Godzilla movie?
So sorry your mum never knew about her family's history.
Wishing everyone a great tomorrow.
