Hello friends, I know its been a while since I was on here. I have been keeping busy doing other things as I needed to get away from the computer for a bit. It has been a rough winter at times. We have had numerous storms just this month and I feel every one about 3 days before it hits. As I'm sure you've all seen on TV the east coast of Canada where I live was just hit with the worst storm in many years. The last comparable storm was in 1982. This time we got almost 90 cm of snow (36 inches). We have drifts and snowbanks up to 16 ft high and many people were stuck in their homes due to snow covered doors and windows. Luckly there were few power outages and they were fixed in good time. We didn't lose our power at all but were prepared for it with lots of water and blankets.
Today we are getting a bit more snow and strong winds so alot of roads are closed due to white outs. My community was closed off for a while but is opened again now. Our roads are still only one lane as many secondary roads are. Hopefully after this weekend all the roads will be back to at least 2 lanes. The kids had no school this week at all as the plows were needed just to work on clearing roads and couldn't take the time out to clear school parking lots. I sure hope next week gets back to more normal living and my body sure hopes the storms are done for this winter.
Last week I slipped and fell in a puddle on the kitchen floor. I crashed pretty good and between that and the storm I have been awful sore all week. Tonight I have my grandchildren over for a sleepover. They have never stayed over before since they just live behind me but since their mom works till 9:30 tonight and has to be back at work at 8:45 tomorrow it doesn't make sense to take them home to sleep. Bf's kids are gone to their Aunt and Uncles for the weekend so the little ones can sleep in their beds. It works out perfectly.

So sorry you fell in the kitchen, girl! Yikes, be careful! Hope you heal up quick, with minimal pain. I forgot to mention in my post that I fell in the beauty salon yesterday. I was more embarrassed than hurt. Stupid me tripped over that bar thingy they pump the chair up with lol. I fumbled and fell on my butt and of course everybody saw it and made a deal over it.

I think you and Mary Ellen are in the same boat with the weather. She's in Boston and I think out of room by now. Where do you put snow on an island? toss it in the water?
