The weather fooled me as it will be hot and humid, while needing to Mom's and then downtown to Social Security. Downtown Portland is huge and busy, parking is a nightmare and expensive.
Sandra, in both of our countries we are dealing with high housing costs and the homeless. We do have one mayor in the entire country, New York City, dealing with it by taxing the billionaires. I do hope it spreads here. Not sure in your country what can be done either. We both need help.
Carly, how far are you from a large downtown? Do you need to travel to Dallas? I do hope soon Mike calms down, he's pretty normal for many people when they first are diagnosed with a heart issue.
Leo, what's happening with the fam now that th FIL is gone?
Leaving to Mom's.
PEACE

finished ones....I cut off piece of the meatloaf before realized I had not cooked on the BBQ sauce topping. I added some Maulls BBQ sauce (a St. Louis company famous stuff for home town people.) then spread it with brush and put in oven to get it a bit carmalized onto the bigger piece of meatloaf you see pic with the sauce cooked onto....

I hate going into large towns or cities. I avoid London, no thanks.
We've had a mixture day of sunny spells.
Doug and I went out for a walk through the park just to get out.
This afternoon I've been woodworking and not achieving much lol.
Carly, Mike's pill situation seems crazy to me, Keep changing it like that never knowing where you are. And how are you supposed to get used to new pills and their side effects if they keep getting changed.
Leo have you had the service for your father in law?
I will say that I am so happy to have a new a/c unit. But I am disappointed the the new thermostat doesn't tell me what the temp is outside. It does tell me what time it is but I can find that anywhere.
I do have to say that it doesn't need to tell me that is so dang hot outside.
We have Tropical storm headed our way. I am getting a bit nervous. They scare me more than a hurricane because they can grow without knowing. Hurricane's seem to be more predictable. The last tropical storm we flooded. Thankfully not as bad as most as the house is really built up high. We only got about 4''s but everyone around us got about 5ft in the house. Even my next door neighbor. I remember a boat coming and picking us up.
Joanne, I sure hope you get Mom's issues with SS will be settled soon. It has to be so dang frustrated.
I am about 45 minute's to an hour to downtown Houston depending on traffic. That is one reason we talk about moving closer to the kids so we don't have that downtown traffic.
I cannot remember the last time I was in Dallas. It is a great town but we have everything they have in Houston and better. :-)
I cooked a meatloaf today. I was trying a new recipe. I think it turned out ok. No complaints from Mike but I must say that he is really not one to complain. Well, maybe about alot of other things but not food. He does always question about cholesteral and sodium. But he didn't ask and I didn't share. We also had mashed potatoes with white gravy and sweet corn.
Sandra, so nice you and Doug went for a walk in the park. I hope it was a nice day for it.
It sounds to me that if you are woodworking you are achieving alot
I will continue to try and keep up with Mike's pill's. He wants to be in charge but I wish he would write down more information so I can keep up.
Leo, how are you doing? Any word on a service for Fil?
Wishing everyone a great start to a new week with the weather you wish for.
Sending much love and hugs to all.
