Good morning all my good friends. On Saturday I went out to my friend who had surgery on her foot. The lady I ride with and I helped clean out one of her bedrooms because her sister is going to live with her. Her sister is in a wheelchair due to polio when she was six which was about 60 years ago. They are good for each other and they need to be together.
It was a good day and we had fun while working, but my shoulders and arms are rather sore.
I always come home with something from Lois' house. This time it was more baby yarn, 3 printed embroidery kits, some stuffing for my toys, and a very good book.
Since we're not going to NC right now, I have decided to start my crochet business up. I tried before, but I guess I was never serious enough. This time I am serious and I know it will be a lot of work, but I am up for it. Today I babysit to get the money for my business cards. I received my free phone and that will be the number I use for my business. My business name is Grammagus Gift Gallery.
We are supposed to get some rain today. The temps will still be in the 70's but the rain is welcome..

i woke at 4am just so i could get my morning cup of coffee in. ill eat a banana and a yogurt before 6am. hopefully ill be in and out of surgery in no time. i check in for surgery at 1pm surgery is at 230pm. shouldnt be any compications...home by 6pm. hopefully my problems with incontinence will be fixed from this day forward.

what a lovely weekend of helping others as you do so often and so nice to be thanked with gifts you'll use to touch others. that's great that you're going to start your business. you might want to take a look at vistaprint. they make very nice cards and always have great deals. 500 for $9.99 and you can design them yourself from templates or your own design. i like the name, too. enjoy those temps and the rain! hugs and good luck!

my mother called and told me that her good friend and former neighbor had lost his battle with cancer after many years. his wife, faye, called mother, so i'd like to surround her with prayers of comfort as well. they are lovely people and were/are close friends with my parents and helped mother a lot after dad was hospitalized and had to go into a nursing home.
it's misty here, too. no fun plans for me. calling in for a refill, straightening out my power bill since my online payment didn't go through, and the working on the email to the nursing home and state. i'll play in the kitchen at some point and get something made hopefully!
i've taken too long with this. love and hugs to this wonderful group of people!

Grammagus, bless your heart for helping your friend get her room ready for her sister. I'm so glad that you had a good time and recieved some nice gifts to boot. Serenity beat me to it in suggesting Vistaprint. There are also some other sites that offer free business cards, just google free business cards and many come up. Love the name of your business and have no doubt it will be a great success.
Erika, my thoughts and prayers are with you today & I'll be with you in spirit. I can't believe how quick the procedure is & that you'll go home today! I hope all goes smoothly and recovery is speedy and as pain free & uncomfortable as possible.
Serenity, I am so sorry for your loss. Sending up prayers for the family, you & your mom. Don't you just hate it when payments get screwed up! I hope your able to get it straightened out without any hassel. I hope you have a relaxing day and enjoy whipping up one of your wonderful dishes.
I'm hoping my drs nurse calls early today so I can get the additional MRI scheduled and go over a few questions. Hey Toni, I even made a list ha! I had a sneezing attack last night and wowza did it do a number on me. Just looking at my phone screen & even holding the phone is causing some pretty intense pain, hopefully it will settle down.
On the news last night they said that Isis referenced the destructions of shopping malls & Mall of America was one that was mentioned. That's only about thirty miles from here & that's way to close for comfort and down right scary. Our temp is a whopping -13 and that's without the wind. On the bright side by late this afternoon we may hit 17 above woohoo!! My only plan today is to wrap the baby gifts for my great niece. I'm hoping with a lot of Lidoderm patches I can get things to settle a bit so I can really enjoy tomorrow, I can hardly wait to hold her!

It's still like the arctic here, brutally cold. I've never seen the dogs do their business so fast, they're even bypassing the sniffing stage.
No nasty dreams last night and my hands is good to go. My bed must have finally regained consciousness since it's creaking again.
I'll have to blow the driveway out later, so I'll have to bundle up.
Yesterday my blood was boiling after my wife told me of a elderly woman that froze to death in her own home since she couldn't afford the heat. That stuff shouldn't happen and I really need to get my sh@# together so I can become that proverbial thorn in those politicians asses again. I guess I could start practising by arguing with the wall, since talking to them is basically the same, except the wall doesn't bury you in bs. I better stop now...at least I'm nice and toasty again!:)

buff, i thing we're both fighters in that way. moonie, too. i'm so mad that a homeless man died here on his way to the shelter and another, a vet, died in his home with no heat. i prefer the term bulldog on their ass. i love bulldogs and when my sis had such a sweet one and i'd play tug of war with her.

First let me say my prayers are with Autumn and Erika this morning. May each of you have the best results possible. Erika that's lousy that you have to wait till this afternoon for your surgery. I hate those, I'm always starving and so thirsty when thst happens. I'm glad it's a day surgery and that you'll be home later today. May God keep you wrapped in his arns during your surgery and guide your surgical team to success. Love you honey!

Blaine, I'm glad you didn't fight with your bed last night. Hopefully that means no bad dreams. That really pisses me off about the elderly woman without hest and dying from it. I don't blame you Blaine for getting your blood boiled. Go punch one of those politicians will you. That's just not acceptable nor is the fact that they can't afford half their prescriptions. My 90 yr old aunt had thst issue when she was alive. I pray you are able to do something about it.
Well we're beck into the deep freeze again. Yesterday snowed off and on and then last night it went up to a balmy 38 degrees. But we're supposed to be -13 tomorrow. I booked my trip to Florida for May. I can't wait to go. My sister Joanne is moving back there today from Indiana. She's staying at Dad's until she gets another job and finds sn apartment again.
My sister Pat informed me she's going to be in Florida the same time as me with my niece Danielle. Thankfully they'll be staying at her place. Me and my sister aren't that close and unfortunately her daughter is a handful. I just like to go away and relax, no drama.
Don't have much planned for today. It's my brother Michaels birthday tomorrow as well as Vivky's. I have to get my bikini ready. Moonie, we need those cabana boys back tonight. I pray everyone has a great day with low stress and pain.

Unfortunately, I am either dealing with pleurisy or costochondritis again. Saturday afternoon, I started having some discomfort when I took a deep breath. Yesterday, it got a little worse and by evening it was more than uncomfortable. Today, it hurts terribly to breath or talk and I feel short of breath.
Somehow I made it to work today. Why didn’t I stay home? I called my rheumatologist and am waiting for a call back. Assuming a burst of steroids is what I need. That helped last time I had this.
Autumn’s husband and Erica are on my mind and in my prayers this morning. I am wishing the best for both of them.
Sorry, I can’t do individual replies this morning. I’ll come back and get caught up later.

I have read everyone's post and praying and wish all the best.
I been dealing with my medical insurance and its expensive and a pain in the !!!!!! It is so upsetting.
I am glad it is starting to warm up again, I am sure we all agree that cold is the worse thing for our health.
Hope everyone has a good day, surgeries turn out good, health improves, your dreams our fulfilled and we stay warm.
This morning I am numb from the loss of 3 neighbor high school kids. The 2 guys were rear ended and died and the girl was in a separate accident and hit someone head on. My neighborhood is stunned and those of us that have lost children the pain intensifies as this is a trigger for those memories.
Erika my heart and thoughts with prayers are for you. Mom had the surgery and turned out perfect.
I will check in later when my heart stops hurting.

Erika, you're getting a bladder sling, right? I pray the surgery goes off without a hitch and you're home in time for dinner! When my doctor asked if I wanted a bladder sling while having my hysterectomy, I said no. Now I kinda wish I had had it done. It sounds like you're excited about it. I would too! Comforting hugssss.
Serenity, prayers go out for all involved in the death of your parents friend. Ugh, good luck straightening out the power company. I hope you find time to play in the kitchen!

Vicky, the last place you need to be today is work! If the doctor doesn't get back to you in a timely manner, I would hoof it over to the ER. It sounds like you're going to need antibiotics as well as steroids. Please don't wait too long. Hugs
An ice storm hit us last night. On a usual 1 hour commute, it took Hal 2 hours to get there. It's so cold outside that all 3 cats are inside. Oh joy. I'm hurting like usual. It's cat hell here while I wait for meds to kick in. Roxy went down at 9:00. I am dropping Jack off at the vet tomorrow so they can collect urine from the urine that goes through the special litter to the bottom. He's leaving a little urine here, there and everywhere. If it's from stress, he needs a freaking sedative. I have a feeling it's a UTI though. We'll know by tomorrow.
My plan, once everybody's asleep, is to rest up myself. Hal will be home late so it's going to be a long one for me too. Sorry to complain so much. On a positive note, Katy suggested that Max could live on the lake with them and mouse and keep other critters away. I think he'd love that. It would sure make my life easier.
Enough about me. I hope everyone has a warm day, especially since I'll be freezing my ass off. sigh.

Joanne, any time a young person dies it's traumatic. I'm sorry it was 3 kids that lived in your neighborhood. Take all the time to grieve that you need. My condolences go out to the parents and the neighborhood.

Buffinator of the famous knock out of beds, good to know someone's bed is creaking ;) tee hee. Oh that poor lady :( breaks my heart. Around here there are laws that power/heat can not be shut off during cold weather, thankfully. It should be that way everywhere.
