I'm sorry my last post was so incomprehensible..
I'm really feeling beside myself.
Elijah went to their neighbor, just as he has been taught to do, and said something was wrong with his Mommy. She called 911 and my son. He called us. We went immediately to ER. She wasn't there. They said they were trying to stabilize her for transport. We went to her apartment. ( small town.. everything minutes apart. Ambulance/her..gone. Back to ER. Not there. They called911 and found out ambulance was taking her to airport to meet air light to Sparks hospital in Fort Smith. On the way to Fort Smith, ER called to tell us they had deverted her to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.
When we finally caught up with her at Mercy ER.. they said she had had at least three seizures..running so close together as to be like one. And.. that, if they continued to be unable to stop them.. they would have to put her so deep into a comma she would stop breathing, and so, need to be intubated and on ventilator.
I kinda lose track of things at this point. ( we still didn't know if she was stroking, as well, again. Catscan.. no bleed.
By the time they moved her to ICU.. the seizures had stopped.
Last week, when I mentioned things going from bad to worse.. it was because..this new Neuro had given Jaimies permission to drive ( not supposed to happen until she went through a specific PT/OT... and, worse.. ( his "plan" for helping her headaches that she has had since before the stroke/aneurisms... taking her suddenly off of three meds.. including..Keppra, Gabapentin..damn it..can't think of the other anti seizure Med.
I BEGGED Jaimies not to stop the meds ( he gave her only depakote(sp) to replace those meds. Oh.. and stopped baclofen abruptly, too. I pleaded repeatedly with Jaimies to wait until after her appointment with her GP this week, and talking with the pharmacist first..
Because NOT ONE of those meds should be stopped abruptly.
She wouldn't listen.. because she wanted this Dr to be right, because he said she could drive.
I even told her.. truthfully.. if you get a seizure from stopping these meds.. they will have to report it to DMV.. and then, no therapy will get you allowed to drive for a full yr seizure free.
She HAD NOT HAD ONE SEIZURE..EVEN THROUGH HER STROKE prior to this.
Her aphasia is decidedly more pronounced. She is very confused. She has a repeated spasmjerk in her shoulder/neck head that she didn't have. Only time will tell if these are temporary or permanent results of the seizure.
Having now had seizures.. she is more apt to. As well as even more apt than the very that she already was to stroke again.
I've been typing this forever and can't remember what all I've said.
Hope I caught up on questions.
I can't tell you how very much each and every one of your heartfelt concern ( and each of your unique ways of expressing it :-) .. means to me.
I feel pretty crazy, to tell you the truth.
Today..
Danny and I will go and do Elijah and Holden( his/my other grandsons) kidergarden orientation. My daughter should be there. I know I will.. but don't know how I will.. get through that without breaking down.
I try not to cry in from of Eli..
And, he saw me literally collapse onto the sidewalk in front of ER when they told us they were lifeflighting her again.
My Mom, Sis, ans SIL were all ready to come here immediately. I've told them to wait. Because we cannot know when the next, possibly worse, emergency will be.
Somewhere in all that.. my DR had set up two ultra-sounds having something to do with the lymphoma she's testing for.I missed those yesterday, obviously..and don't know when the biopsy/s will be.
Not all awful enough?
We hit and killed a dog on the highway on the way to Jaimies yesterday.
Silver lining..
My son is back on his meds..
And has stepped up into helping with Eli.. and actually worried about me.
I'm sorry this is such a ramble. I don't know why my computer " fixes Jaimie's name to Jaimies..it is Jaimie.
I love you guys.
I feel so.. desperate..
And felt to grateful when I came on and saw your resoinse here
I CAN'T " lose it" now. I just can't.
You guys really are a lifeline

it's amazing how things worked out to save her and i wish she could see that she should stay.
i'm glad your son is back on his meds and i hope he has a happy birthday.
my darling, your shouldering so much it's astounding.
love you dearly
My feeling is.. this is another failure on this hospitals part.
Surely, they have dealt with patients with brain injuries in the past..
And should have been able to keep her there until the time they said it was advisable for her to leave.
In any event, she is safely here for now..
And, for that, I'm grateful, too.
And soooo grateful to/for all of you.

Happy Birthday to Danny. Eli is a hero. Getting through this and keeping Jaimie safe in future a tall order.
If only we could ground them.

Can't believe all that you and your family have been through. Happy that you are all home now. I know you all have a long ways to go, but for now some peace and celebration.
Happy birthday to your son.
Gentle hugs
I'm awfully glad that everything seemed to fall into place in regard to getting Jamie the care she needed ASAP.
Please give Eli a big ole hug from me, he did such a great job & was so brave! I'm glad that she's not being discharged AMA. You must feel like you've been shoved into a blender, taken out, and put back in again. You seem to have been through the whole gamete of emotions, I know its a lot, but let it out.
I forget who said this earlier, but I couldn't agree more & that is its so healthy for Eli to see you cry, not only does it let him know he can cry, it also opens the door to communication in regard to any and all questions he may have. The phones on Darlin should you like to vent, have someone just listen or just have a friend to talk to about all this or about something more mundane, Like what Toni got caught doing with one of the cabana boys....ooooooue you are not going to believe it teehee! I hope that brought at least a teeny tiny smile. Wrapping you in a blanket of comfort and friendship. As always keeping Jamie, Eli & you in my heart, thoughts and prayers.
Much Love, hugs & blessings
Lisa
