Hello my friends and sorry I haven't been around for a while. I have had a rotten summer. The weather was bad enough will lots of rain and wind but for some reason depression hit me again some time in June and only in the last couple weeks did Bf tell me that something wasn't right with me for the last couple months. Of course being depressed I also had more pain than normal which meant we didn't get out to do much over the summer.
I saw my doctor yesterday and she increased my Effexor so hoping that will help with my mood. I also asked her about the increased pain in my hips that has been making it difficult to walk at times. I've had a couple episodes over the summer where I had to use a cane just to get around the house. I'm using the nordic walking poles now if I have to walk further than my house to bf's (next door). The doctor did some poking and prodding and decided its likely bursitis. She said if its still this bad in a month's time she will do cortisone shots in both hips. I'm sure some in here have had this done; I'm hesitant. I would appreciate input from anyone who knows anything about these shots.
The summer was very busy as well. I was babysitting my grandchildren alot, almost too much. Both daughters were working but Noah and Oliver were in daycare during the day then I picked them up every second evening around 5 and took them to their house, fed them supper and put Oliver to bed. Dd was home about 8 most nights. Talia and Cruz didn't go to daycare so we had them every time my older dd worked, every second week when she had them. I am still watching them after school until she gets home but now it is every week but no weekends as their dad has opted out of the 50/50 custody arrangement they had. He only takes them for one night on the weekends if he's not busy. It's a shame, I'm sure they miss him but they never let on.
I think that's about it as far as updates go. Every day is just like the last one so there isn't usually much news. Hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourselves. I'll have to go do some reading now and catch up on what's going on with all of you. Take care; peace and hugs,

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a rough summer, but I'm so glad you're feeling better now. I've had cortisone in the knees and hands and it's worked great but it didn't work for my shoulder. I also use a cane when I need one to walk which is anytime I do a long walk, I have to rely on my cane for support but I don't mind.
I'm glad to see you back and hipe the cortisone helps your hip pain if you end up getting it.

I've heard people say they got good results from the injections and then some say no, I think it's just an individual thing. I sure wish you the best with it.

Those little ones can sure wear you out, yet I often think they remind us to have fun again, so let that little girl inside out, when you're with them.

I UST got off the phone with the school board and I'm not very happy about the news. We have spent the last week trying to get bf's soon transferred to a better school only to find out they won't approve it. We really feel he wasn't treated fairly last year. Looks like momma lion will be baring her teeth this year to advocate for this boy. If there is one thing I can't tolerate it's adults in authority favoring certain kids and icing on others. I WILL be going in and fighting for his fair treatment at the first sign of a problem. This year will not be a repeat of last year. Thankfully this will be his last year there as he goes to senior high next year.
