Good morning to all. Up early with insomnia. I have had a couple really good nights sleep though, so tonight won't be too bad. I'll go back to bed soon and get a few more zzz s.
Our move has been put on hold due to several things, but that is okay as Ed really doesn't want to move. Also the rain and cold we had last week were really hard on him. HIs pain level went through the roof. We are unpacking the few things that we had packed as we are tired of living among the boxes. My arms and legs hurt from putting things away. Today will be a day of rest. I have to get another alligator finished by Sunday morning.
We had to get a digital tv. Our old analog tv went out and the converter box went out. It is nice to not have to play with turning the power on and off just to get the tv on.
It is feeling like spring here or almost summer. Our temps are reaching the low to mid 80's this week, and to think a week ago, it was quite cool for here. They say if we don't get some more snow in the mountains before spring we will have a really heavy monsoon season this summer.

Grammagus, I'm sorry you move has been put on hold, I know how much you were looking forward to it. I'm so sorry Ed is in so much pain. I hope it eases soon. With he not wanting to move & the pain it sounds like you made the right decision. I hope your arm and leg pain also diminishes. That is so much work unpacking, please pace yourself. Bummer your TV quit, but yay on getting a new one. Please feel free to send some warm weather this way it's -3 right now on our thermometer brrr. I hope you were able to get back to sleep and wake refreshed.
JC, I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I hope it eased enough for you to get some sleep. Hopefully when you wake you'll be feeling a little better. I hope your able to have a relaxing, pain diminished day.
RJ , it's so good to see you this morning. I'm so sorry your pain is so high, I hope yours also eased enough for you to get some sleep. Please pace yourself today if it's not urgent stuff maybe you can save it for tomorrow so you can give your body a break and relax. Whatever you decide I hope all goes smoothly and the pain level plummets.
Yesterday beat me up pretty good so it will be a day of absolutely nothing. I have a baby shower to go to on Sat. for hubby's Niece at 9:30am uuugh! I can't for the life of me figure out why they would have it at such an ungodly hour, getting through it is going to be ouchie. I had to change my MRI to Tues as hubby is the accountant for our township on Mon & it would have been cutting it too close getting back in time. My big project for the day will be wrapping the baby gifts. She knows she's having a boy so online line shopping was a ball!

grammagus, i hope you're catching those extra zzzs right now. sorry that the weather took it toll on ed and that the move is delayed. a new tv is a good reward. things will work out in good time.
jc, i know you're in a lot of pain and it's not whiny to say so. i hope you're getting some sleep, too. the chili turned out great, but i must have used all my cornmeal, not even a cheat box in the house, i gave some to claire and charlie, i'll give you their reviews. and i'll get cornmeal today.
RJ, wishing you sleep, too. sorry pain is so high for so many of us.
lisa, i agree. we may be up at that hour but it doesn't mean functional and sociable. good luck with wrapping the pressies. glad you won't be under extra stress trying to get back after the MRI.
i did get sleep, but not enough. penny had me pinned in thoroughly, so i couldn't just slip out of bed to the bathroom. it was like moving a log and i don't stand so well initially, so that woke me up. i really need to get to publix today to get meds and a few groceries on sale. the bus doesn't go there on weekends, so i really have to.
i'm so beyond fed up with this dr who still hasn't called me back. and i'm not having any luck finding a new one. makes me miss nyc even more, but i'm tired and will carry on as i can. i'm hoping for some more snooze time, too, then the ability to get these little missions done.
wishing all a warm, fuzzy low pain day and some happy moments sprinkled in there.
jc, dammit, I'm sorry you're hurting so bad. I hope you take some meds and at least catch a few hours.
Good morning RJ. Pain seems to be dominating the board this morning. I ain't pain free today but it's the pain I'm used to. It's so nice to have you here. I hope the pain abates so you can accomplish what you need to. Hugs
Lisa, I bet you feel like you were put through the wringer yesterday. Rest sounds good! That is an odd time for a baby shower but anything goes nowadays. Can't you drop off the gifts and return home? Whatever you decide to do, I hope, works out for you. Take it easy wrapping those gifts. Christmas damn near killed me, lol! Hope your pain is manageable today.
I'm up this morning early. Not sure why, lol. Rotated Max from the computer room, Jack is in bedroom. Now Roxy is in the computer room with me. We're exposing Max and Roxy more to each other. Last night went pretty well. Of course, Roxy growled at Max from my lap. This weekend we'll see how they do without me or Hal holding her.
I went to the doctor for refill yesterday. He checked my back because of the higher level in my spine that's kickin' my butt. He identified it to be at S1. Great. He gave me a sample pack of Flector patches. I'll be trying them this morning. If anyone has any experience with them, share your experience. I'm worried about the Voltaren and Toradol interacting with each other but Doc says that won't be a problem. We'll see.
I hope everybody in the FC has a manageable, restful day. Thoughts out to so many in our group suffering.

Wow, everyone's up early today! Grammagus, you were up very early. It says this was started at about 2:45 this morning. I hope you were able to ho back to bed! I think that was just about when I was getting to sleep. I'll trade my weather for yours anyday. We're below zero today snd the weather said in the 80's there. Oh how I'd love to be there today. I don't blame Ed for not wanting to move. I know how hard it is finding an apartment that's decent and affordable. I'm sure it won't be too long, but im sure your daughter is having the same problem I am in finding a decent place without paying a small fortune. Enjoy your new T.V your old one sounds like mine. Eventually, I'll get a new one too.
JC, I hope you were able to get some rest and I pray that when you get back up that the pain has eased some. You need a break girl.
RJ, It's so nice to see ypu. I know you've been suffering lately. I know you're going in for a couple of more procedures. Know that I'm praying that you finally get some relief. I'm hoping it's easier getting around with that wheelchair. Love you honey!
Lisa, I would just send the gifts honey. In your condition and with your pain, I wouldn't go anywhere and especially at 9:30 A.M. You have to learn to say I can't do that. I know it's hard, but it's not worth the pain.
Serenity, I know how hard it is to find a new doctor. I hope you find one soon. I hope you're able to get your errands done and get home so you can get more sleep.

Well it's about 20 below with the wind chill brrrrr. Last night my hip and leg pain was off the charts. We have bitterly cold and lots more snow on the way. It's actually going to snow for days. Its supposed to start on Saturday sometime and go through Tuesday. Enough already! Well my left hand is throbbing and my right one is totally numb so that means no more typing for me. All I'm doing today is going to one store and get some blackberries and raspberries and extra milk. I got plenty of water and food, but need a few things so I don't have to go back out for a few days, hopefully. I can workout at home, thankfully.
By the way how do you all like my new avatar? I'm looking for something, I just don't know what? (Lol) she's cute? Ain't she? Ha, ha

ME, i love the new avi. i was listening to perky music (arrested development, just to date myself) this morning trying to get going. i hope you have all you need and don't get out during that crazy cold streak.
i give. i'm sick. again. i'm a hand washing maniac, but it's not enough. if i make it out today it will be a miracle...or a cab. tina has a friend in the building with a car, but he doesn't like to drive. i'm going to put in one more call to the dr and some to new ones, then get a nap and hope for help and energy...will trade good chili for dishwashing!

Lisa I would like to know why someone would have a baby shower at that hour myself! I bet she is sabotaging herself and doesn't have many show up :(. Well at least the present part of it is fun :):) Get some rest today and catch up. Said that backwards, but I kind of am!
Serenity darn it I'm not liking the sound of this at all with the constant getting sick. Call the dr's office and ask to speak to the nurse for results and tell her/him how you've been feeling. Do what is just necessary to get you thru, but otherwise rest (((hugs)))
Dianna it's the animal instinct in you that has you on the prowl this morning! they've done went and took your brain over! tee hee. I sure hope the Voltaran works and kicks some of that pain away. Let me know how it goes :)

I've got to do some paperwork, but already have most of it done. Need to get to the store myself it closes on Sunday so Saturday will probably be busy. The only other one around here is WalMart, I don't do W-M, too big for me! RSD rules though and tells me what to do........yes master......my captain aye aye........I will obey! I laugh and get sent to the corner tee hee. Can you tell i'm bored?!

i hope youre able to get those errands done Serenity. here we have a service called Paratransit where a nice little shuttle bus picks you up from your door , takes you where you need to go for 75 cents...for those on disability. can you call your city bus transportation service and ask if they have such a thing there? medicaid also has a service called Special Mobility Services where they will do one of three things: send you a monthly bus pass, provide gas vouchers to the driver of your choice to get you to appointments, or send cab to your door for door to door service. worth a shot. dont know why i havent thought of it before.
Dianna i applaud your cat wrangling skills! i know its a lot of work but your hard work will pay off soon i hope. rest well. what do we need to do to get that snow to stop falling on you Mary Ellen! here we havent fulfilled our snowfall totals. i hope you will be ok soon. you deserve a break from all that mess. i hope it eases so your pain woill ease too. i LOVE that "seekin' chick" avi...seekin as in looking for something not our dear Seekn lol . hope youre doing ok in some air condituioned room dear friend on the other side of the world.
thanks for the encouragements you guys yesterday. i really appreciate that and i needed to hear it. im soooo hard on myself. i am scheduled for bladder reconstructive surgery feb 23. will be down for 6-8 weeks. ANYthing to help my problems with stress incontinence ill gladly welcome. 90% success rate 1% risk count me in! thinking of those that arent here much love to the Circle.
We'll sure be here for you when you have your surgery. That's a long time to be down and I hope you treat yourself with the same tender care that you did yesterday thru it all.
Great success rate! Still yet you know you're going to be getting a zillion prayers, well wishes, positive vibes, etc.. from us all :)
