ssLisa, how exciting that you got to see your granddaughter!
Laundry is a tough chore. Good luck with that. At least it’s indoors. I have some to do too, but I’m dragging my feet getting to it. Good luck.
Yesterday was a very mixed bag for me. Waited 2 hours at dr’s office and wasn’t close to being seen. I left with an explanation and my last discharge paperwork. I’m going back next Friday early. I took my friend out to lunch since we were both starving and she had to wait in the car. That was great and gave us the energy to hit Walmart and to get back before serious traffic hit. I was surprised at my stamina.
I slept well. Only one short wake up and I feel pretty good despite medium pain.
I’ve been cleaning a little and enjoying many visits from my friends on the balcony.
It’s going to be a rainy weekend here too, but maybe that will help with fall colors. With this warm weather has slowed the big color show we get.
After OT I’ll slowly tidy up around the house. I’m so lucky to be getting this help. Slow and easy.
Good day to each of you.
Serenity you're just moving right along. A 2 hour wait, I wouldn't do it either. Nice you had time with your friend and lunch. Same weather and hope here.
I was up most of the night, but when I got up it was a quick clean up, because Daisy Mae had wet her bed, so laundry and mopping had to be done and quick baths. I feel like half the day is gone already.
I have to go get a few refills and make a phone call.
Yesterday I drove to the town south of me craving the rotisserie chicken the store has down there and to pick up a few things I needed.
I ended up finding a pot with potting soil and I added some compost i had for my hen and chicks. Saved myself some money.
I'm getting my things done and resting.
Lisa-so good to have an update from you. Is Covid still avoiding your area? Have fun at the family gathering. Seeing your granddaughter had to just warm your heart.
Serenity-that is reprehensible waiting that long at the doctors office, and worse now! My wait time for all my docs is less then 15 minutes and that is before Covid, now almost immediately. I'd call the office and talk to them.
Toni-that is so sad about your fur baby peeing the bed. She's getting older, as we are. Good find on pot and soil together. Your hen and chicks will be so happy to have an upgraded dinner.
Things are so screwed with this Covid and the upcoming holidays. No door to door trick or treating and we live next to Halloween Town! Debbie Reynolds made the move their. The biggest comment about her was how sweet, funny and tiny she was. Itty bitty. No Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years gathering until next year. This will be the year to forget.
My body is slowly getting over working on the deck and the plant containers. I forget that I'm 73 and not 47!! Why is getting older so fraught issues?
PEACE
My DM is slowing down and with her back legs giving out at times wetting her bed is happening a lot too much for both of us. I'm pushing her to walk outside, but it's going to be getting cold soon. Not sure what we're going to do. I've had a few people say I should put her down, err, that's just mean to say. My legs were down for years and I had my share of wet beds no one put me down, probably felt it a few times, but they didn't. I'm rambling!
I m on my 2nd day of roasted chicken and made turnips with just a few potatoes to go with it. So good.
Still need to make my dreaded call.
Where you at ninja sister!
