Most people like Friday because it is the end of the work week. I'm retired so I can't use that as an excuse for liking Friday. I like Friday just because I have one more day to enjoy.
Today I will make a new cover for the wrist rest at the computer. Finish crocheting a turtle for a friend's daughter as a surprise. Make a strawberry shortcake since I bought strawberries yesterday. And then work on some other projects I have going. I will enjoy the sun through the window as it will be too hot to go out much.
What is up with all my friends today? What are you going to enjoy?

Hot and humid here (at 7 15 in the morning) but am hoping to survive IT guy and that's the plan. Hubby's work computer (he telecommutes) conked out and if that's not up and running by 9 AM, oh boy....
I will enjoy this wonderful thread today, then try to "run" to the shower and so on. LOL. Running. Hee hee. Like I could. Bwahahahaha..... okay,w ow, that's enough hot cocoa for *me* today!

New meds are not agreeing with my digestive system, so I have decided to go back to old ones. Luckily I have some here left over to get me through until I see my PM dr. Pain building up I think the weather has a lot to do with it or it could be a flare. I'm praying it's just the horrible weather. I moved about a lot today and tonight I'm paying for it. But it's bearable. DH is watching the Friday night football game in the other room. I'm needing a quieter space and have tucked myself into bed, in the hope sleep will come soon.....I've taken a sleeping tablet, hope it works.
I I love the end of the week as my DH will be around and I feel happy. Nothing planned as the weather is forecast to be extreme winds, 7 - 14 degrees. We have a couple of television series saved to cuddle up and watch in front of the blazing fire...so it's comfy clothes, soup, and later on, chocolate !!

sounds like you have a fun day planned! i wish you could post some of your creations - both food and crafting. hope you enjoy making them and your finger cooperates. i know the recipients are very thankful!
leo, i hope you enjoyed some of that extra sleep. sorry the early morning pain is so high. finger crossed that that the IT guy can do some magic so all can go smoothly when hubby needs to work. i get the same laugh when i say i'm running! when folks are rushing me to keep up i say "this IS me running!" hobble, hobble....hope you have a peaceful day!
i slept in this morning myself and forgot to set up the coffee last night. i watched a very good and emotional movie last night, so i just wasn't sleepy at the usual time
quite hot and muggy here, too. sticky. and they say next week will really be hot. i may just keep the tub full and soak every hour.
i got a memo late yesterday that the manager has resigned and want to make it clear she wasn't fired. that seemed a bit unnecessary to say, but that's the way she is. just hoping that they find a qualified replacement.
today is just some of this and that. my mind isn't ready to figure that out just yet.

Leo, I know the feeling. It takes me 45 minutes just to get up and move In the morning from being so stiff. You are funny though. I hope the computer gets fixed by 9:00.
Well I was exhausted yesterday after cleaning 2 blinds and washing the 2 sets of drapes, but at least everything is nice and clean again I'm having a lot of problems with my hands going numb and I know it's coming from my neck si I'll be making another appointment to see my neurosurgeon. Something is not right in there and I keep saying it so we'll see what happens. Between that and the arm killing me from the Rotator tear, I'm doing good.
Well, it's a nice sunny 75º day here with no humidity so I'm going to the beach and relax. I pray everyone has a low pain day with low stress.

Serenity, fingers crossed that you are staying cool. I love spring and summer and don't mind the heat as long as my AC is working. :) Have fun doing whatever you decide to do today.
Last day of the work week for me, sort of. I am on call this weekend but at least don't have to be in the office. I can answer calls in my jammies. One more week and I am on vacation for a week. WOOHOO, I cannot wait. Nothing much planned, just some time to rest and relax.
I had a pretty tough doctors appointment yesterday and left in tears. Keep in mind, I am not one to cry often but when the doctor walked out of the room, the tears just started flowing. I felt so silly when the girl came in to take my blood. She must've realized my embarrassment because she pretended to not notice.
The thing is, I've been really struggling and I guess I expect too much but yesterday's appointment was a total waste of my time. I know my body and something isn't right (beyond the usual). She totally blew me off, even said "you have lupus, you cannot expect to feel perfect". REALLY?! Sigh...
Enough of my pity party. I do have much to be thankful for and must focus on that

Strawberry shortcake will be ready about 10 am mst. Low sugar too for those of us on restricted diets. It will be a surprise for hubby. I have to go eat breakfast first.

Happy Friday. I am going to enjoy work today and then my lovely pillow. Fridays find me rather exhausted. Hope I have the energy to wash the sheets today after work for a good nights sleep.
Tomorrow supposed to be hot. Gonna hide in the A/C and chilllll.
I want all my friends here to know I am just a dumb man. I wull be getting a foot stoll for work. But in the meantime I am propping my feet on the waster basket. It is a good height. And my leg pain went from a 8 to a 6. Amazing when I elevated my feet/legs they felt better like almost immediately.
Now you can all slap me with a wet noodle. Hope every one has a low pain day and enjoys the weekend
I will be in bed resting and binge watching House Hunters or Law and Order.

Been on the phone and running late not that that's unusual for me. Sounds like a few of you slept in later than usual though.
Read all your replies and am not responding to all of it! Think my arms would fall off! Love seeing how active the check in and knowing what everyone is up to.
Addie and I trimmed up my maple tree yesterday, she ended up loping most of it while i held the branches. Hard to say but a 9 yr is stronger than I am. So thankful for her help though and the tree won't grow into my house now. Have to mention she's going to play in the championship softball game and she made All team......Go Addie!
My doc appt. got rescheduled today... my doc's worrying me with her pregnancy hope everything's alright and she doesn't go off early, sigh.
