Magic, we had a coffee table when I was growing up that was designed to have this sliding compartment to store LPs. Mom todl Dad if he wanted to have umpteen pairs of slippers for his chronically cold feet, he could keep them in there or they'd be donated to the homeless. Out of sight, out of mind, an dout of Moms way....

Sort silverware, yet us men do, we just sort them by colour! Very fast and efficient that way. :)
