He is popular every where else cause he is downing the economy here.I think he is a one term president , thank the Lord.

But if the right keeps spewing nonsense at everything that Obama says and does - they are going to generate a whole lot of support for Obama from within this country, imo. It sure has done that to me and to my liberal friends.

The right thinks they smell a weak spot since his popularity has dropped - Obama is not a stupid man - and I have no doubt he has his ducks in a row and is just letting the right wing flail around until they screw each other into the ground - as they are currently doing. (How was that for a run-on sentence?)

Wow. Obama is right up there with Hu Jintao, Vladimir Putin and Mark Zuckerburg! This Forbes list is as impressive as that Nobel Peace Prize Obama received for being a community organizer.

HE is drowning the economy???? The economy collapsed in 2007. He was not our president when this happened.

A year from now we will be voting. A lot could happen. So time will tell......................................I am not impressed with one party gloating one over another. I don't know if he is a one termer or not or if he does get defeated whether it would be any better with a Republican winning. I truly believe whatever they tout when they campaign always end up the same.

My disappointment in our government is overwhelming. I am angry, disgusted and frustrated. I am so dreading the dirt slinging campaign ahead. I will vote. I don't know who but I definitely know who I won't.

And to Linda --- I never felt he was done but surely if he keeps running our country the way he is it will finish us off economically. I hope I am wrong truly I do but the economic health of our country frightens me.

Maybe you haven't been watching the right news Linda. The economy is in real trouble and Obama has lead us down this path .I know the solution is to blame everyone else But it still doesn't change how bad things are.

Obama and huge bailouts/stimulus, the banks asking for handouts, the car company asking for handouts...unethical business dealings (credit default swaps) and the risk exposure spread across the world...I'm thinking the recession had its beginnings before Obama, but he hasn't helped it out much. A lot can change.

The methodology for this list is on the site - it wasn't just willy nilly...if you're talking global influence, it seems bang on that you've got the superpowers up there followed by influential people...nice to see a woman (Merkel).

For the record, everyone and every company I know was doing great in 2007 - the Shyte hit the fan in 2009 here and has been going down-hill ever since. Whether it be Obama or Ried - they can take full claim for this disaster. As for Obama being the most powerful man in the world - yep and he's taking power that is not his to take. And you are right, he is a very smart man and he does know exactly what he is doing.

LJ - Where do you and all of your friends think that all the money is going to come from to pay for all of these bail outs and hand outs? For the record, there isn't enough money in our country to pay for all of these - even if you taxed everyone 100%.

Jobs was not about obtaining power - Jobs was about innovation and empowering others. None of the people on the Forbes list can hold a candle to Steve Jobs.

I agree, but he must have fallen under the most powerful and influential people given how he shaped how we use information/communication.
