Have u ever gone horse back riding? What was the experience like~?
I was thrown from one when I was 16 and broke my ankle.. Had to drive home in shame w/my LEFT foot and face the "I told you not to go" from my parents on the way to the ER!... but got back on years later in the Bahamas, they gave me some poor raggedy old mare who stumbled so many times and slipped on rocks (but she did not fall!) and that just reinstilled the fear of God in me! I wish I could get over this fear, as I do love horses and think there is a real human connection with them. They provide such great therapy for special needs children/adults. Still frightened of them!!!!!!!!! I must have been back kicked in the head in my previous life!
I take my grand daughter (and g-son) to one of the local stables and they have turkeys, lamas, geese, ducks, lamb, a donkey, horses, cows, just depends! She feeds them carrots. It's actually quite interesting, they have a manger like setting for their food. They have to actually guide them across the st to the enclosed open field and in the cold of winter, they are all in the barn, so it is a very humane stable. Kids take riding lessons there. I think its some type of animal shelter/farm, it's been there forever, including the old original farm house.
