I love the show don't get me wrong, but I wish they would finish the Red John storyline for good. I know it's sort of the whole premise of the show, but I feel it's gotten to the point where it's making the show lag and I'm having a hard time watching it. It's also so frustrating when you think they're going to show him or they give some sort of major clue(like last week), but it's just another psych out and you're left still wondering who it is. Does anyone else feel this way? Do you think the show will end when we finally find out?

They sure are milking the Red John thing to death. I've given up on the show because I can't stand his smug persona and am tired of looking at his three piece suits. Also, he appears frequently on TV here advertising a bank and I lose all respect for actors who do that.

I also agree about the Red John saga. To me it has really sent the show off in a direct that is just leaking toxic material that isn't working well for the show. I find myself not watching it and it had been one of my favorite shows.

I also noticed that he originally had curlier hair on top and sides and they are now straightening his hair more. I felt the bit of curl was more attractive. I hope with the changes they are making that they finally decide to revise his character to go back to his style in the beginning when they had his character interesting and made us want to watch.

I only started watching "The Mentalist" this year because of "Psych," which makes references to it due to the shows' similarities. It even had a version of Red John in the form of Mr. Yang, implying during the same episode it might go along the same lines only to have the mystery wrapped up in the same episode.

Hi The Whip: With many stars wearing their hair shaved close or more straight, Patrick's hair had curl and I think added to the character and I noticed it immediately. I think it helped him stand out.

He got a star on the Walk of fame in February 2013 and his hair was stick straight. Picture is below:
