THIS WEEK’S BIGGEST HEADLINES:

- “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum DINA MANZO and her boyfriend DAVID CANTIN were brutally beaten during a home invasion at their Holmdel, New Jersey residence. The pair entered their home and encountered two masked robbers already inside the residence who then attacked Cantin with a baseball bat and punched Manzo before binding them together and making off with cash and jewelry. Manzo and Cantin both sustained facial injuries which were treated at a nearby hospital.

- Embattled actor/comedian BILL COSBY suggested racism “may very well” be a factor in the many accusations of sexual assault against him. Cosby also revealed he does not plan to testify on his own behalf at his upcoming trial.

- Pop/rock singer ELLE KING revealed the real reason why she did not get married to beau ANDREW FERGUSON four weeks ago as planned – the pair were actually already married and on their way to ending the marriage by that time. King shared that she and Ferguson secretly married 3 weeks after they met on Valentine’s Day 2016, but the relationship fizzled before the couple could make it to the date they had planned to exchange vows in front of friends and family, leading her to publicly call off the event.  King called Ferguson the greatest lover of her life and her best friend but noted both were attempting to find their footing through life and that she hoped they would both “find happiness within” themselves. Recent reports indicate Ferguson was recently arrested for a domestic dispute.

- A fight is brewing over the estate of late actor ALAN THICKE. Thicke’s eldest two sons, BRENNAN and pop/r&b singer ROBIN THICKE, are suing Thicke’s widow, TANYA CALLAU, claiming she threatened them with bad publicity in order to strong-arm them into ceding a bigger chunk of Thicke’s estate to her. Robin and Brennan, the co-trustees of their father’s living trust, say Thicke amassed most of his assets prior to marrying Callau in 2005 and that she signed a prenup prior to their marriage. The papers filed assert Thicke “generously provided” for his children and Callau, his third wife, and that Callau was left all the furnishings from his ranch, 25% of his personal effects, a $500,000 life insurance policy, all of his death benefits from his pensions and union memberships and a 40% stake in his remaining estate. According to Thicke’s will Callau would also be allowed to continue to live at the ranch provided she maintain the property and cover its expenses. Thicke’s sons assert Callau is now claiming the prenup is invalid and she’s “resorting to avarice and overreaching”.

- Rapper A$AP ROCKY was robbed of $1.5 million in jewelry in a home invasion.

- An intruder broke into the home of model/tv personality AMBER ROSE while Rose, her mother, assistant, bodyguards, and her 4 year-old son were all asleep. The intruder reportedly broke a kitchen window and entered the house through the pantry. Rose realized someone broke into the home the following afternoon when she found the shattered window and later reviewed surveillance footage showing the perpetrator breaking and entering. The surveillance footage showed the perpetrator was in the home for 4 hours but did not appear to steal anything.

- Swedish officials announced they have dropped a probe into a rape accusation against Wikileaks founder JULIAN ASSANGE after 7 years.

- A Minnesota judge has made a ruling regarding late music legend PRINCE’s estate. The judge declared that since Prince died without a will or any living offspring, his sister TYKA NELSON and 5 half-siblings are his heirs. All other claims of heirship, of which there were many, were rejected.

- TV host STEVE HARVEY’s ex-wife MARY HARVEY is suing him for $60 million for child endangerment, torture, conspiracy against rights, kidnapping, breach of contract, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Mary also claims in the legal documents filed that Steve “murdered her soul”. According to the filing, “Soul murder is achieved by a combination of torture, deprivation, and brainwashing” and Steve caused Mary “severe mental pain and suffering… threaten[ed], manipulate[d], and cause[d] intentional emotional distress” for Mary, whom he was married to for 9 years before splitting in 2005 (the couple share a 19 year-old son). Mary claims when the couple split in 2005, Steve kidnapped their then 8 year-old son and did not allow her to see him as mandated by the courts, causing her “overwhelming stress and pain” that “exceeded her ability to cope”. Mary has made allegations against Steve before and in 2013 she was jailed for 30 days for contempt of court after violating a confidentiality clause following their divorce. 

RELATIONSHIPS:

Pop/country singer TAYLOR SWIFT is reportedly dating British actor JOE ALWYN. The pair reportedly have managed to keep their relationship under wraps for months by wearing disguises while out and about in London (Swift has been renting a house in North London according to the reports)…Bush frontman GAVIN ROSSDALE is dating model SOPHIA THOMALLA.  

ENGAGEMENTS:

Actress FELICITY JONES is engaged to director CHARLES GUARD. The couple have been dating for 2 years. 

WEDDINGS/MARRIAGES:

“The Big Bang Theory” star JIM PARSONS married longtime partner TODD SPIEWAK in a ceremony at the Rainbow Room in New York City. The couple have been together for over 14 years after meeting on a blind date at a karaoke bar in 2002…Retired US women’s soccer star ABBY WAMBACH married Christian blogger GLENNON DOYLE MELTON. The couple confirmed their relationship in November 2016 and announced their engagement in February.  

BREAK-UPS/DIVORCES:

Former “Bachelor” BEN HIGGINS and his fiancée LAUREN BUSHNELL have called it quits after a little over a year together. The couple met on the series and Higgins proposed to Bushnell on the season finale… Actress/comedian/screenwriter AMY SCHUMER and furniture maker BEN HANISCH have reportedly split up after over a year together… Music producer MARK RONSON and his wife JOSEPHINE DE LA BAUME are divorcing after 5 years of marriage… Actor LEONARDO DICAPRIO and model NINA AGDAL have split up after more than a year of dating.   

LEGAL WOES:

“Deadliest Catch” star SIG HANSEN has been arrested for assault after allegedly kicking an Uber driver’s car and spitting at the driver… Disgraced former New York Congressman ANTHONY WEINER pled guilty to sexting a minor. Weiner faces up to 2 years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender when he is released. 

BABY NEWS:

Actor/comedian KEVIN HART and his wife ENIKO PARRISH announced they are expecting their first child together… Actor MATTHEW MORRISON and his model wife RENEE PUENTE announced they are expecting their first child together.   

HEALTH ISSUES:

Country legend LORETTA LYNN is reportedly starting rehabilitation following a stroke she suffered last week… Actor ETHAN EMBRY revealed he’s been battling an opiate addiction.  

DEATHS:

Character actor POWERS BOOTHE, who appeared in films like “Sin City” and tv shows including “Deadwood” and “Agents of SHIELD”, died in his sleep of natural causes. He was 68… Actor JOHN CYGAN, best known for playing Paulie Pentangeli in the ‘90s cop show “The Commish”, died after a battle with cancer. He was 63… Singer/musician CHRIS CORNELL, who served as a lead singer for multiple rock bands and is best known for songs such as “Black Hole Sun” (Soundgarden), “Like A Stone” (Audioslave) “Hunger Strike” (Temple of the Dog), and the James Bond theme  “You Know My Name”, died of an apparent suicide by hanging. He was 52… Former tv executive ROGER AILES, who helped found Fox News and ran the cable channel for decades before recently being forced out due to mounting sexual harassment allegations from former employees of the station, died from complications of a head injury suffered after a fall. He was 77.
