You will make many friends here as we journey together. This is a place where hope will be offered on a daily basis. When you can go no further this group will help carry you...
i've always felt i've been kinder to my animals that i've to have the put to sleep when their "quality of life" was over & they were starting to suffer.
i too feel god understands & i hope that i can pull it off myself when the time is right, but it's a hard thing to "time right" so i may need assistance.
a lesson i learned caring for my mom & 1 sister who were up & moving one day; the next day bedridden & unable to care for themselves...those last 2-3 weeks were hell for them & me.
yes, i could keep them out of pain, and i tried my best to give them their dignity, but no way do i want to go thru that or put my loved ones thru it.
timing is everything; unless assisted suicide is legalized.
people should be able to have the rights of animals not to suffer & prolong life when it is no longer a life worth living.
my opinion only
Great subject line Yknott. Hope to see more people post on this.
Thanks fonzy
It is quite a serious topic that takes very serious concentration. When you look through our eyes and how we all relate to each other , I don't see how a person who is or has not been seriously involved in this topic make a decision on it.
I would like to thank everybody in our group for being able to talk about topics etc. without any anger or being upset etc.
Thank you
Love and gentle hugs,
Jenna
i am for it; but getting "the nerve" is a whole nother thing.
definatly something a loved one shouldn't choose.
i assumed "assisted" meant with the help of a dr or professionals.
having cared for family members, i am so grateful for the hospice people that helped me & guided me & made sure i was able to keep my loved ones comfortable those final days & weeks.
