Well I and ANOTHER out break of what I thought to be cellulitis and went back to the doc saying enough and she now says it's either MRSA or inflammatory breast cancer, which I am at a high risk for. So currently I am on a combo of antibiotics and if it comes back she said she'll probably put me in the hospital for IV antibiotics. I've got all the fun booby test, mammo, ultra sound and then if needed a breast surgeon for biopsy.

It treatments were suddesful and it never returned! Let's hope and pray for MRSA!

I am so sorry you are dealing with this:(. I will pray it is MRSA instead of breast cancer because it is treated with the medications as mentioned by Joanne and if treated properly it does not reoccur. However, no matter what happens I want you to know something. We are all here to support you and you don't have to face any of this alone. :). Keep us posted!!

I hate to call her and go in the hospital as I have a dog and no one to watch her, plus I hate hospitals as we all do. I guess I will see where it is tomorrow and call her. Crap. Well maybe it's a good thing there is no fever that means the antibiotics are working.
I am so sorry you are going through this yet again. I would def call first thing in am and let your doc know what's going on. Perhaps the vet could board your furbaby temporarily until a family member or friend can help? Just a suggestion although I know it comes at a cost. Please let us all know how you are doing and what is going on because I am worried about you. Keeping you in my prayers. (((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) What antibiotics are you on if you don't mind me asking? If your doc has not put you on vancomycin it might be the only thing to clear this up specifically if it is MRSA.
It is a bacterium responsible for several difficult-to-treat infections in humans. It can cause a " hot spot" anywhere on the body that is hot to the touch, can be painful, feeling horrible, sometimes a fever and unless treated aggressively and correctly it will come back.
30% of the population is " colonized " with the bug but like most things in our body it just is there, usually the nose. Rarely does it rear it's ugly head and become a problem. It generally will reoccur in the same area. My son was born with a huge facial deformity which involved too many lymph glands in his face. He would get the infections " cellulitis" frequently until they used the IV drug combo of Vancomycin and gentamycin. He was allergic to would get IV benedryl. His was cured. PTL! He would be so sick with high fevers/vomiting which is a problem when one has a trach.
