So there's this girl and we have been friends for a year now I guess and then she said she didn't want to be friends and started being mean to me giving me dirty looks, in the past putting me down still happens sometimes and I had a breakdown at school my advisor saw called my mom and figured out what was going on and talked to her then brought us both in then after we went upstairs she was crying so I said do you want a hug and she said yeah and said i'm so sorry for everything i did I wish I could of done things differently and I don't want to lose you as a friend and I said we can try being friends again i don't know if we'll ever be as tight as we were and then she said yeah but then while thinking over the weekend i said i don't think we should text until I know I can trust you again now she's saying she doesn't know if she wants to talk to me she's about to go back to what she was doing I can tell because that's what she usually does and i've been getting really depressed because of what she's been doing to me.

My heart hurts for you Riah. I have a daughter who is going through something similar. The advice I give her is that we have to be very careful who we call a friend. We really have to take time to get to know a person and how they act on a regular basis. If this person is consistently mean and causes a lot of hurt, then this person would not be a good choice. A friend is there for you through the good and the bad. They uplift you and encourage you. It sounds like you are a good friend and you deserve the same. I pray that you find a true friend, and that you will not allow anyone to make you depressed. Hugs

The question sometimes is who is a REAL friend, and who is just there when they get the benefit. A friend shouldn't be making you feel this way at all, and what you need to ask yourself is, is she worth your time after how she makes you feel? Because even the longest of friendships can be tainted by bullying.
I hope you get this all sorted and soon, it's horrible to go through and it's worse with friends, good luck

Thank you everyone for your support I graduated last year and no longer have to see this person or talk to her. My family and true friends got me through this whole thing but the principle, the owner of the school did nothing so I had to deal with it all through the rest of high school but at least that's over and I don't have to deal with it anymore
