here's some method's that made it all easier. unfortunately, none of them are perfect, but they do help:
when you study, play music. don't play anything loud and crazy, i love rap music and different levels of rock, but theyre probably not the best for studying. however, light rock should be fine. i can tell you rap is the worst because the lyrics are faster and its just basically harder for me to understand whatever it was i just read with that playing. the best is instrumental music. basically find music you like, but dont pick your favorite songs/artists cuz theyll distract you. the music would sound out any external distractions and some internal ones as well. thats why its best to use earphones instead of a stereo.
i found that if a have a paperclip in my hand to play with while studying and even during other homework, i can focuss better. rubberbands and pen caps work too. i guess anything to hold in your hand and mess around with should work. it would be great if you can have something like that with you for your tests
also, telling yourself over and over again that you can do it, that your smart, ect. helps too. convince yourself that you can do it, cuz you can. and when negative thoughts come into your mind, try to block it out and replace each one with a positive alternative thought. like if you say, "i suck at math", replace that with "i have difficulty with math but i will do my best".
gum works too. so do couph drops. my school has a learning center. if your school has this, i suggest you try get signed up for it to help you with future tests. they can help you with your work and give you more time for tests. see if you can meet up with your school guidance counselor for more ideas and tips to help for exams this week. when you take your tests just breathe slowly and focus on what your doing, not other thoughts of any kind. as soon as one comes in, block it out and continue with the test.
i know these aint perfect but theyre something. lol sorry for the length of this. good luck on your exams. if it makes you feel better, i had my exams last week and despite my anxiety i did pretty good on them. You will too.
