Syringomyelia Support Group
Syringomyelia is a disorder in which a cyst or tubular cavity forms within the spinal cord. This cyst, called a syrinx, expands and elongates over time, destroying the center of the spinal cord resulting in pain, weakness, and stiffness in the back, shoulders, arms, or legs.
Under the July Messages, there's an option to purchase a Daily Strength tshirt. If you can read the message on the 2 tshirts, I would appreciate letting me know. I can't read it. I haven't told my family that I'm part of a support group. My children are healthy. I don't want them becoming hypochondriacs from hearing me talk about my condition (even though I've had multiple surgeries), and my husband attributes it to our old age (46). This is a place where I can come and converse with people who understand instead of worrying people around me. Thanks.
