Support for sexoffenders Community Group
My husband is a sex offender so they say . And all we want is to be a family and be happy and no one will leave us alone. Don't get me wrong there are sick people in the world but he isn't one of them .. I am supporting the ones who want to put there past in the past and go on with their lives..

You Know...I have noticed that in most of these groups either no one is talking at all or there always seem to be one or two people in the group that always thinks that they know it all and anything that you may say they criticize you for.

Maybe everyone is in fear to talk here. Most S.O. have to be so careful these days. I pray for eveyone who is suffering with the way the world treats them. I know that we need support with all that S.O have to deal with and their loved ones need it too. Together we can over come the downward spiral of hell the world wants everyoneto live in who has that label. God Bless and hang in there. rcmama

We shall overcome, it is a song and a truth all in one. God has strengthened us and our victory will be so much sweeter when it comes.

I am the mother of a female so, looking for a place to vent my frustrations at the screwed up system. Yes, she was old enough to have known better but what can I say...we all make mistakes and sometimes they are ones that affect us for the rest of our lives. Yes, if she could just go back and have a do-over, she surely would have made a better choice and her husband, children, parents and other family members are all living within the confines of her private hell on earth. Oh, don't get me wrong, we count our blessings in many ways, she could have served jail time but instead got 10 years probation and will have no criminal record if served without a hitch but in the meantime, she has a 13 and 15 year old son who cannot be alone with her (hopefully this will change very soon as her probation officer and counselor have recommended it to the judge). She was at a stressful time, with her husband on the road too long at a time, her being mother and father to active sports minded boys, working, running the house, etc.....a friend of her oldest son who was 13 at the time was spending a lot of time at their house because his single mother was busy with college and her job. He might have only been 13 but this kid was nearly 6 ft and probably weighed in about 180 and she is 4 ft 11 and weighed about 115 and he was sooo helpful around the house without having to ask for his help but then one night after her boys were asleep, he came and climbed into her bed and she didn't think!!!!! She just didn't think.....she wanted to end it but was afraid he would tell someone...she finally did end it and he did tell and here she is. It took nearly a year before the hearing and she was determined to do everything she could to keep from going to jail, so she took a deal, 10 years adjudicated probation, registration for the rest of her life and we were thankful because she was also pregnant at the hearing. Well, it is hell on everyone. The boys cannot have any friends over that are under 18, she has to have supervision by her father, me or her husband anytime the boys are home, cannot take them to the school bus or pick them up without supervision. Even relatives that have known her forever will have nothing to do with her and then there are those we haven't told because we know how they would react...this past Christmas, she and her husband had to leave my house because my brother, his wife and kids were dropping by and thank goodness they gave us warning! She can't correspond on the phone even with her nieces and nephews much less be around them even though their parents would allow it......this was one stupid, stupid mistake and had circumstances just been a little bit different....it wouldn't have happened. She doesn't even get speeding tickets, never been in trouble in her whole life, good person all the way through....Well, I vented and I guess it helped....I just wish that people would wake up and see that not all so's are bad and need to have the same restrictions as high-risk so's should....thank goodness, at least for now, she has a really understanding po who encourages her and tries to ease up on her for following the guidelines so adamantly...and believe me she does....she is so scared that she could still go to jail, and she would never survive there. So we all exist.....and pray a lot that someday soon, they will change the system and concentrate on those offenders who need watching so closely.

I just wanted to tell you I completely agree with you venting does help. The system is horrible and the Law is just as bad. Murder's have it easier thatn SO they are screwed for life. There are the real so and then there are the consensual couples it's just plum ridiculous. Well I have plenty to say but have to go for now will try to write more next time. God Bless you and yours.
