I see where the good ole USA is toward the top in the world ranking in at least one category.
The.Death.Penalty
That's right, the good old red, white and blue and the country that prides itself on fairness and freedom is right up there with China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq regarding the death penalty.
Are we not always preaching against the cruelty the government uses on its citizens in Iran, China, and Iraq???
Are they not considered rogue nations by the United States??
Aren't we constantly complaining about the human rights violations in these countries?

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

I know there has been the odd time it's overturned however I've seen interviews with people on death row that have been brought to the point of it being carried out over and over again...It's terrible what they and their families go through... It's bloody awful
I know how I feel about the boston bomber, and the fact that he did kill those people is known. Giving him the death penalty...doesn't change what happened to the people he killed. I have now considered that he could be placed in roadside work, hard labor, thirty years to life, and to be physical every single day. Let his muscles provide some good for the community. Rather than isolating these individuals in a cell, I'd rather see them provide physical labor for their consequence for the choice they made.
I completely believe that there are predators that need to be kept away from society as their rich fantasy lives makes them too unstable and dangerous for society... At the same time I believe that they should be treated with humanity and perhaps the empathy that they're unable to feel for others
Helen Prejean is another of my hero's ... I had a book signed by her that says "choose life"... She was at the site of the sentencing for the Boston bomber
