Terror in Oklahoma----Botched Execution
rewdiazepam
The entire death penalty in the United States is just a complete mess. It is applied unfairly, it is nothing but revenge, and it is murder by the government. And then there is the little fact that there are innocent men on death row.
As you know, Oklahoma is one of the states that seem to have an insatiable appetite for revenge---and thus the death penalty.
Here is the product of one such botched execution-----------

Warning: This is disturbing.
I ask you, "As a supposedly civilized country, can't we do better than this???"

Woke up feeling very emotional and about to clock in at my place of employment. And can't place it all in writing but not been a good experience with my store manager or his boss. Defamation of my character is a concern. I've been losing appetite and weight. Trying to perform at work to keep myself from hospitalization as a result of toxic masculinity.

It's a terrible thing to say but sometimes I wish that politicians up the chain would have to face some of the trauma that others do... Perhaps then there'd be some changes .. This sickens me
Caleb, :(
It would not make any difference to some of these overzealous death penalty supporters even if they did see this on a TV programs.
I do what I can in prison reform, the abolition of the death penalty, and reform of the sex offender registry, but sometimes I feel as if I am a lone voice in the wilderness; nobody hears me.
I have heard it all, from "He deserved it," to "Maybe he now knows what his victims went through" to "I am not worried how he feels; only about the victims."
Mary Fallin, our esteemed governor, even had the gall to say, "Well, it got the job done. We DID manage to carry out the law by having the execution. I would say it was successful." She made this statement the day after it happened. I wonder how she feels now.
You forget that Oklahoma is in the midst of the Bible Belt, so reason or common sense is thrown out the window.
The ignorant Okies down here are biased and their prejudices run deep.
When you have prejudices along with total ignorance, reform is almost impossible.

"Well, the Lord said, 'an eye for an eye and a tooth or a tooth.'" If it was good enough for the Lord, it is good enough for me.

It's shocking at times to me how much people believe in government to the extreme of common sense goes out the window...
Even if you get involved with an organization to do a little volunteer work which is what I did... I didn't do a lot as I was already busy at that time reaching out for a couple of wrongly convicted however it made a big difference to my mental health being validated and I was invited to some really interesting and helpful events
What you're doing matters a lot Ralph... A whole lot and I am so glad you're here....xo
