Lead Prosecutor Apologizes to Death Row Exoneree

This former prosecutor is a very courageous man and for once, I can say I admire a prosecutor. He is demanding an abolition of the death penalty in this country.
I cannot take credit for this link, as SunCloud sent it to me, but it was so heart wrenching that I knew I had to pass it along.
Watch the video. It is very emotional.

The death penalty is wrong on so many levels. When we determine life or death on laws passed by imperfect men and allow the death penalty of a man to depend on people who have an agenda to push as many convictions through as possible, it is truly a national tragedy.
This video brought tears to my eyes, and that is difficult to do these days.

Which explains the mysterious fevers and my extra fatigue. I'm so glad I pushed for answers.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

No mere slaps on the wrist. They showed no mercy to these poor people, so they deserve none from us.
We can admonish DAs and law enforcement all we want, but hitting them in the pocketbooks, disbarring the DAs, and sending them to prison is the only thing that will get their attention.
It should be mandatory that they pay the wrongfully accused---the person they sent to prison----restitution equal to the person's salary he or she earned before they were wrongfully convicted PLUS at least a couple of a hundred thousand a year for each year they were convicted AT LEAST.
And they could have it set up where the prosecutor or law enforcement serve a MANDATORY sentence without the possibility of parole or early release which is equal the sentence the wrongfully accused was facing.
And no more sending these guys to a "special prison" so they will be safe. Oh no. They don't do that for sex offenders or any other high risk inmates, so let's not treat the prosecutors or cops differently. Let them learn to fight and fend for themselves not hide behind the curtain of a badge or the office of a DA.
Let's show some equality here.
Prosecutors are always preaching the offenders "do not accept responsibility" for their crimes. Good. Then let's require the prosecutors to accept the responsibility of their actions.
The DAs and cops who engage in this kind of behavior are monsters and need to be dealt with accordingly.
Then, when a few of this psychopaths are sent to prison, DAs, prosecutors, and detectives in future investigations will think twice before hiding evidence or lying in court.
Some DAs still contend that the death penalty is a deterrent to crime, which it is not. But if they feel that way, then we can use their philosophy against them and use their sentence as a deterrent to others.
I know I am just wishing as this will never happen.
But hope is what keeps all of us going in one way or another.
