Well, this is the day. I have my regular doc appt. and I'm prepared this time. She WILL hear me. I'm tired of her half assed attempts to get me on meds to relieve this worsening pain.

I will explain to her tht I'm trying to follow her advice and get out (mostly) of this work that's ruining my life. But...and it's a big but...I can't do what I need to do for all the changes to come to fruition unless my current pain is managed properly.

Wish me luck (I'm going to need it)

If she won't listen this time,have her refer you to pain mangement,they'll listen if they the right Dr.

I see the Dr. that did my back surgery today for my 1 year check up.

Good luck today Cherry, and I agree with Jan, if she is not willing or able to prescribe the meds that can make your life easier, tell her to send you to a PM Doc that can, just saying "I can't prescribe or won't prescribe heavy narcotics" is not an excuse, she need to give you a referral to a good PM Doc that can help you out. Let us know what happended..........

I just got back from my appt. and will be trying to get my insurance to agree to something they refused earlier. They made me try several other meds first that were either ineffective or wrecked my stomach. We're hoping I have enough on my list of things that don't work for me to allow this script to go through.

She also told me to STOP working, especially with this torn rotator cuff. Of course, she didn't offer to support me! I could get by for a while with savings while I get my house in order...litterally and figuratively.

Once again...damned pee test was required. My doc wouldn't order because she knows me well, but the State requires it because of the drug abuse where I live. It must be even worse than I realized. It's irritating to have to go through the same bologna that the drug seekers/abusers do. It's their fault!!! Oh well, I'll play along knowing I'm not hiding anything.

The doc also told me to call Voc Tech and tell them I need to apply for temporary disability and see what else I could be trained to do. She's been concerned about the toxins involved with hairdressing and mentioned that many times.

Now, I'm going to call the doc who ordered the MRI and try AGAIN to get a follow up appt. so we can get started on whatever the plan to heal/fix this shoulder is going to be. For crying out loud...it takes forever to get anything scheduled in this neck of the woods!

I'm going to go to the drug store and see if it went through. Wish me luck!
