But I want to offer you some hope because for me, it very gradually changed and I was able to sit for longer periods and now, I can sit long enough. I do need to stretch now and then but I am much better with that part. What got worse however, is the mobility. I have a hard time walking. But I hope to resolve that one too.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, change happens. Just because you can't sit now does not mean you will never be able to. You may be able to work again , or, then again, you may not. Best to be prepared for both.
You have all my support in this difficult situation.
Hugs,Ama
I know the wave of feelings that come with having to make this decision. For your body and mind's sake, I think you are making the right one.
I am like ama and could not sit at one point and now I can.
So yes, change happens even to the change that has already happened.
Maybe you will have time and energy to devote to your loves and passions.
Don't you blog and write and bake cakes (with barbie's on top?
Hugs!
I know this is not the decision you wanted to make, I don't think any of us wanted to. I know how much strength, agony and courage this decision has taken...I am so proud of you for being able to "go there".
In support and with HUGS!
I could have kept it without my participation, but that seemed besides the point....so I closed it when it became quickly apparent that it could no longer really be mine.
It broke my heart for a while......still makes me a little sad if I think about it too much......
Said all that just to say that I, too can empathize with your loss......and, for now, it is a loss and you will likely grieve it as such......I think that's OK........I think it's a process....
When it's time, and you're ready.....you will begin a new process.
You are not alone.....hugs....jc..

I'm here for you for all the steps that follow. . . . It is a hard step, but it is the beginning not the end.
Best wishes on your new life,
Toni
Wishing you the best.
Work is slowly taking it out of me also, and if something doesn't change for me soon, I may have to make a decision.
I admire your strength.
We're here.
Big Hugs,
David.
David I hope you can find peace with whatever decision you have to make. I know its not easy and I'm here for you too... we can do it together (that's the name of one of my grandson's favorite books about cooperation lol)
big hugs all,
ssLisa
wow I don't remember a whole lot but I remember ducky saying that and how it spoke to me too.
I spend my time being human now too and don't know how I ever subjected myself to a 9 hour day of running around and being under pressure.
I am so happy you are finding peace in this.
Like the others have said things change I can sit more now put the pain is always there. My mobility is not good anymore at all. I just had to apply for a power chair. It sucks. Find yourself a good hobby or two so you don't go crazy. You might want to apply for SSDI because it's a long process. Hope your LTD last a while.
Hugs,
Marci
