Cherry, I'm so glad to hear that your son is doing better nothing worse than our kids in pain.
You get a pass on the 32nd-you've had a lot on your plate.
Steva-I got you. You're right about the month', though..lot of folks had a hard time and I hope, like you that Feb. Is better for all.
Me-still goin'.
Have a good day,all..... ..jc
I'm glad to hear your son's on the mend Cherry.
I knocked off your double post steva.
We went out last night and I had a good time even though I felt like crap.
Walking was a challenge to say the least. I didn't sleep well again and was up for most of the night. I'm awake but groggy, Joy just left and I've got over an hour until it's time to get the boys off.
I'm dreading the next few days, we have too much going on and I'm going to have a rough time surviving.
I hope I can go to sleep for a little while after the boys leave.
Wishing everyone well,
Mike
But then it is 3 hours of dance for Maddy and she does not like it when I leave so I hope to get some homework done. We have house-church after at 7:30 -9:30 (just a small group that gets together once a week at our youth pastors house)
Cherry I am sooo happy to hear about your son. I totally agree with Jan....it is the WORST when it is our kids. I always ask God, please just give it to me. See He really does listen! LOL!!
Have a great day,
Autumn
Morning and regards to all......I'm off to try and sleep. Hope you guys get the best from the day that you can!
L ; )
Another night of horrible Tummy upset. Up and down to bathroom all night long!! I'll be so glad when my Medicare kicks in. One more month!!!
Still have all the pups and its been hard w/ me feeling so bad. Little buggers are cute though. There's a Rescue Group from New Jersey that's offered to take some. They come down to NC and pick up pups every 4 wks. Our Group will, of course, have to ck them out.
Cherry, What good news!! Its so hard to see our kids, no matter how old, in any type of pain or distress!! The hardest thing abt. being a parent.
I'm going back to bed. Been up since abt 6 am, cleaned pups room, walked big dogs, fed pups. Have one w/ bloody diarrhea due to trying to change food at Vets direction. Withheld food yesterday for her, cooked her some rice w/ just a little pureed chicken for this morning. Hoping that will break the cycle. Feed rest of pups, cleaned pup room again. I'm tired and weak from my tummy. So I'll rest a few hours. Love to all and many hugs.
Well the trilogy of alarm clocks started going off at 4:30 and I must have awakened to the second round because I was out of bed by 4:55. I made my cream of wheat and a small glass of 2% milk. We normally buy skim but it was the only kind they had at the store where my son works and the storm Sun afternoon was so awful there was no way I was stopping to get something different. Bob wasn'to thrilled but he will get over it. Besides, it is not like a little fat will destroy his 130 pound frame. He will be out of here in an hour and like most of you, I will be in bed right as soon as he leaves and I lock the door. I do not have to be anywhere today. I have a lot to do though beginning with reconciling both bank accounts.
I recieved a call from my internist's FNP office and all my labs looked great. I still have to stay on cholesterol medication for at least six more months. My kidney function was 58 out of 60 which is great for me as that has been an issue in the last year or so. My protein, albumin and calcium levels all were normal so I must be doing something right. I was really pleased and as I told the lap band support group, drink those shakes, drink water and take your vitamins daily. Today is weigh in day. I imagine I will be somewhere close to forty pounds lost which is a little more than halfway to go.
I will probably spend a little time with my girlfriend that I run around with and another friend most likely for lunch. She and her husband are leaving with their horses and dogs to their winter home in Scottsdale, AZ for two months. It will be good for us to have this break. I need it. Hopefully, I will spend less money for openers. I must start living like we are not going to have much income for several months this year.
Last night Bob wasn't home at 7 and it got to be 8 and he still wsnn't home. Rule is you all me by 7 if you are going to be later. I called his office at 7:30 and got his voice mail. I asked him to call if he was still there. No call by eight. I called his cell and it is laying on my kitchen table. I called the main number at the plant and they page him without success. I am beginning to get a little concerned. Not like him not to call as I have made a real issue of the 7 o'clock rule. In he walks about 8:30. He had been moving his musical equipment from one facility to the other and didn't I remember that it was the end of the month? Well no, I didn't and you said nothing about it this am. We weren't mad at each other. But he didn't tell me. I guess I was so tired that I wouldn't have rememembered it anyway.
Steva, I am with you, glad it is February....seems it was just NY Day, though. Jan, you have a good one, too. Autumn, glad you ar feeling some better. I hope you enjoy your home group this evening. I am glad you get your house cleaned today. Mike, I am joining you and my shoes in a trip back to bed. May the sleep fairy pass over us all now and again tonight. If anyone is checking in while I am writing and for those who follow. I hope you enjoy today. There won't be another Feb 1st of 2012 again. So carpe diem one and all.
Thank you for indulging my chatty fingers this morning. I really am trying to narrow my thoughts down but I needed to ramble this am. It is fine to ignore me. Big hugs and love to all and I hope those of you who need it to be a low or no pain day are granted your wish.
Hugs, support and love to all,
Melinda
Good morning Cherry, I am glad that Blair is better. And yes they send you home with just about anything hanging out of you. I am guessing that they will have a home health nurse come by and show him how to do it and then check on him a few times. I would buy soee gloves to have so that no one gets the gunk on them. He may be doing this for awhile. Maybe you both will rest better, though, to have him home.
t and here I sit with it and a small glass of milk.
Now to everyone else ... GOOD MORNING! I am o.k. and just happy to be alive and I hope you all have as pain free a day as possible! Randy
Just checking in it seems that these days are just flying by for me. I blink and it is time to go to bed and nothing is done I was still doing dishes at midnight last night because I did not get to it earlier. Well I did get to it earlier but I have three loads of dishes to do a day.
I am on the cuff of a migraine for days now I wish it would just come and get it over with why is it stalking me. I hate that constant throbbing all day and now my stomach is upset from Tylenol and ibuprofen grrrrrrrr......
Then my niece just called me and said she has to work late can I pick up her daughter from school and then says if you dont want to that is ok I will call grandma and see if she can drive all the way over there. Well you all know I will say that is fine I am not going to have someone drive all the way over here because I dont want to go and get her.
My hugs and love to you all!!
Yippie!!!!!!!!!
Gotta celebrate little things.
Cherry, you can tell them there is not enough support at home for that level of medical care.
It seems wrong to me to send him home with a fever at all after what he has been thru. But whatta I know, I am not some doctors who clearly graduated at the bottom of the class.
Sorry I cannot address everyone. I have been up all night with a very sick pup. Call to emergency vet, afraid it was parvo. We took him first thing this morning, and he tested negative for parvo, thankfully! Doggie cold with infection from trach. done during neutering. Got all kinds of meds and if does not eat within 48 hours have to take him back.
Sounds like we all have been having a rough time lately. I wish that there was more I could do for each of you. Sending hugs, love, and comfort.
