I am on my way to bed....It was a drop dead gorgeous day here in Eugene but I just enjoyed it from the sliding glass door. I slept this afternoon after waking up too early. My cat, Idgy, joined me and I turned off all telephones.
Bob went to Salem to play music and will be back in a couple of hours.
It has been a difficult evening with my daughter and the continued drama with the boyfriend in Seattle. She is on my last nerve. Mental illness is so hard.
I just stayed quiet and sorted through stuff on the kitchen table...I did make some progress...have prescription receipts to turn into our flexible savings account for reimbursement all ready to fill out forms.
I should have done it much sooner. The cash flow is going to be tight this month until that money turns around.
But I am grateful for all that I have which includes my daughter and son who are struggling to find direction in their lives. I am greatful that my needs are met, that Bob still has a job and that I can pause today and thank our Creator.
You all are the bomb as the kids say....I mean that. Have a great Sunday. I am so ready for spring....it seems to be on the horizon.
Lisa, I hope you are asleep as I write this...Big hugs to you and the rest of this motley crew.
Melinda
You are a trooper to go do this, and have a sweet attitude.
Melinda, I am praying for peace and sound minds for your children and spouses.
You have a lot on your plate and do alot with what is given. :-)
God bless you too and I join in thanksgiving for all my blessings.
A clear mind this morning is at the top of the list.
My mother's dog that adopted her was bailed out of the shelter and is back with her.
To see my mom with tears in her eyes was well..... happy/sad.
She still misses my daddy so much. Lord, Life can be hard.
Love you guys the most...... you da bomb true dat.......................
Lisa....grandkids are rays of light, aren't they? Rest we'll.
Mel, Oh....do I know kids....kids-in-law...and drama...we must talk when I feel better :-) :-)
I feel a little motley.:-) :-) :-)
Sorry about my strange post yesterday....I'm having to force myself
To take Med that's seems to be givin' me a killer headache....I'll live...
Hope you all have a peaceful, easy Sunday......
Hugs......jc..
you gonna make it....
hold on
We've walked and fed our fur-babies this morning. Can't wait to get that fenced in area. Still want to walk the guys daily but 4-6 walks a day for 4 babies is just getting too much!! I'm not talking short walks but at least 1/2 mi. ea. time (it takes Mama girl awhile to do her stuff). The Walk IS a huge bonding opportunity and good for Hubby and I. But it seems most of our days are taken up w/ getting on warm clothes, getting everyone out, walking, getting back in then feeding. More abt. that later.
I've really negleted my house this week and haven't cooked a real meal in days. So...today is clean, cook, then clean again. LOL
I so admire those of you who have little ones or Grands and attend all those functions. A sports activity is a nightmare for me. Never liked them when I felt good, so now, not at all. My son and I took a type of Kung Fu together when he was young. That was a good bonding activity for a Mom who disliked athletics. LOL And we camped. I was such a girly, girl that I really had to stretch to come up w/ things for my son and I to do together. In school, I was the one who had her "time of the month"notes for phys. ed. every 2 wks. (sorry guys).
Time to go and be useful.
Love to all and Many hugs w/ sprinkles :>}
In St. Thomas I met the MTV crew and the Real World group. Yuck!!!!! Lol their house is right across from where we ported....... So they were filming them arriving. Carry their little teddy bears and stuffed dogs ( all of which you knew was for show because they were brand new lol! Could tell they hadn't been slept with )
I have been able to get much of DS from when I was gone so I'm sorry if I missed anything and praying for you and your loved ones.
Good morning,
here I go again, my plan today is just clean up and then hopefully I will be able to do something fun like go to the pet store as I do need dog food so I guess I have to go after all.
The baby and her mom are coming home today, the baby goes to her screwed dads on the weekend oops did I say that out loud. LOL My niece spends the weekend at her thirty year old BF's in his bed room that is in the laundry room whew where does she pick them. Then back to the daily grind tomorrow not that I mind I like the house to myself during the week.
My niece said she went to parent teacher conferences last week and the dad comes in high and asked the teacher for a sucker, she wanted to crawl into a hole. Thank goodness he lives with his grandparents who watch the baby or I would have some anxiety every weekend.
It is cold here but no snow this is a crazy winter here in MI
Welcome back Susie, I wish I could have been with you last week instead of here.
I'm slowly comming to life. I was up and down all night and really didn't sleep very much. My cold or whatever it is seems to be better today. Not to say that I feel good, I just don't feel horrible. Oh well, it's a start.
My evenings without smoking are getting easier. I hope the worst is over. Joy's really proud of me. It's nice to be on the good boy list. I gave up having my daily beer in the afternoon because I was afraid it would make me want a smoke too bad. She didn't even notice for 2 weeks. Last night she said she didn't know how I'd done it. If there's ever been a time when I wanted to smoke and drink, it's been the last week.
My brother and his wife are comming up for a visit today so we're trying to get the house presentable.
Joy took Eric to get his staples and stitches out this morning and they were able to do it without sedating him. He seems to be doing really well.
I really feel bad for Joy. She's had a really rotten vacation. I think she could relate well to your avatar, Manny. Me too.
I think tomorrow is going to be hard. Joy goes back to work and the boys go back to school and I've really had an awful time getting up in the mornings. I hope I can pull it off.
I slept the day away yesterday, probably why I had trouble sleeping last night. I charged my SCS and it's humming at full blast. I'm not going to push it today. If I'm still sick tomorrow I'll see about going back to the doc. But I'm hopeful I'm just on the tail end of a cold.
I hope everyone has a nice Sunday,
Mike
SSL...Oh yes, the bleachers! Those always do a number to me but, it is worth it to watch my son in his sports and, I always make some cookies or something for his team mates. I hope her game goes well and she kicks some booty! Take care of your body as you need to.
Lindy...It is ok to be frustrated and fed up with kids, there is nothing wrong with that. I am glad that you were able to enjoy some nice weather, I wish it would come up here. Have a quiet day today and rest your body.
Paulina...I forget about the acid too...its that memory we were talking about! I love to see Maggie smiling so big when I log on. I am so very thankful that your momma got her buddy back! I hope that that situation never repeats itself.
JanCam...what is feeling Motley??? The only thing I thought of was the 80's band Motley Crue. Whatever it is...I hope it gets better for you. You never have to apologize for having "a day" when you post--we all understand that and have beent through it.
Nealy...Shoot, you definately need a fenced in area! That is far too many walks in a day for CP'ers. On the other hand, I am so glad that you are able to enjoy them and do them. Get some cleaning done today and a little cooking. Crockpot food is wonderful and easy my friend and, it lasts for a few days too.
Minnie...so glad to see you!!! You have been MIA for a while and I always worry about you. I hope that things are ok for you right now and that your new home is working out well. Please check in with me and let me know how you are doing.
Manny... You are too funny!! Did you say that out loud?!?? Please, tell me how you REALLY feel! I am so glad that the babyshower is over and that you will have some time to rest your body. I LOVE going to the pet store. If I had money...I would spend sooooo much of it there. I would love to get a big cat tree for Belle (Killer Kitty Slasher Claws) and, tons of stuff for the dogs. I also love all the pet owner nick nacks that are sold there too.
11LongYears...Welcome Back my friend!! I am so glad that you had such a nice time and vacation. I have never been on a cruise but, I have always wanted to go. I learned how to sail when I was a teenager and I fell in love with ships at that same age. As for seeing the MTV crew...BLEH! I can't stand any of those reality shoes. I would have gotten "sea sick" at that time on one of them I think LOL!
ME>>>I am in pretty rough shape today. I was busy with my family yesterday and today is my moms birthday for which I am cooking her favorite meal/desert. To be honest right now...I am truly just putting on my happy face and lying to get through the birthday. Tomorrow is Monday and everyone will leave and I will nurse my wounds then. As for today...turkey dinner, stuffing, sweet potatos and, for desert, cream puffs. I hurt and its not pretty.
On a happier note, my mom is 60 years old today and I am so thankful to God for her! As much as she makes me crazy, she also is one of the joys of my life. We have been through a lot together and, she made me who I am today. She is an incredible woman with an incredible life story. I honor her and respect her with all my heart.
So...*raising water glass and meds*... here is to fakin it til you make it and getting on with life regardless of pain and tears! Cheers!!
After I got home I had another bout of nausea. This has been happening alot lately and i can't figure out what's causing it. I thought I had it figured out but then something changes and disproves my theory. Oh well it could be worse. Tomorrow morning is going to be busy so I tried to go to bed early. Went at 11 but was still wide awake a 1/2 hr later so I got up. I seem destined to never get more than 1 good nights' sleep a week, better than none I guess. Take care everyone and sleep well, big hugs goodnight,
ssLisa
