Lisa, it's too bad you can't figure a way around that damn allergy....you benefit so much from that TENS otherwise.....hope you're getting some more rest as I speak..
I'm breathing a little easier so far today...
To Lisa and all who follow us...May the road rise up to meet you.........
Hugs.....jc..
Lisa, what are we going to do with you? I think you should put sticky notes around the house to remind you that you'll pay later if you overdo while the tens unit is performing it's magic!
Jan, did your Mom leave? You can get yourself checked now....right?
Saturday is my Friday...work in the morning and rest in the afternoon. I wish it was noon.
Morning hugs to all...
Cherry
This used to be hell day for me and now I can just enjoy st. pats I used to work in a Irish bar and restaurant for 20 years and this was the biggest day of all and always a ball buster for me to work.
I had a horrible night SIL was in ER she was having chest pains after the CT they wanted her to stay they said there was a problem with her heart and had to do additional test but she refused and left I am so mad at her. I stormed out of the ER and came home she is selfish that is all I can say she is 38 and already had a heart attack and she has two small children at home and she is diabetic. They even said if she stayed a whole night she would be approved for medicaid for the whole bill she has no insurance and she would be put on for now she has being trying to get on for years and this was her chance. So now her EX hubby said he would pay the bill and now stuck with the whole bill probably thousands and we found out nothing but there is a problem
Today i am cleaning and maybe some shopping I think I am going to go thrift store shopping and maybe a estate sale or two. :)
It's going to be a beautiful sunny warm day here and I was invited to visit with my mother who lives 90 minutes away to meet up with my sister and her family but I basically said I'm not feeling well. I'm still recovering from the last visit 2 weeks ago so I don't think so. I just need to rest and be very slow and take care of the day to day stuff of living.
Hugs,
Ama
SSL, balance is the key word my friend. A little TENS, a little fun, a little rest. Repeat steps 1 through 3.
JanCam, I hope you are able to get your needs met starting today. Please take yourself to the nearest MD and do not pass Go, do not collect 200.00.
Cherry, Last day of work right? Tomorrow and MOnday are days off and you will hlpefully get some rest too.
Manny, BarMaid for 20 years?!? Holy cow girl, no wonder you have so much pain. That is one of the hardest jobs on earth. I know you worked harder on this day than most but, I gotta tell ya...I would love to be out and about today at our Irish Pub called Kells. St. P day is so much fun! I am so mad with you at your SIL! I don't understand how she could put herself or her children in that position. Please update if you have further information.
ME>>>I plan on doing a little running around today and, maybe try to catch some St. P day fun at some point. Pain is the usual and sleep was decent last night. Over all...Good start to the day! HUGGLES!
ME>>>
Only have a minute...hurting too bad today. The good news is we had our neighborhood party yesterday. We ended up with about 20 people. Had awesome food and good friends!! So much fun... but omg....am I paying for it. The party broke up around 2am. I love our neighbor-hood parties!! We don't really have any family around but we have been so blessed with amazing friends and neighbors! Today is recover day.
Have a great day everyone!
Autumn
I'm Irish, German, with some American Indian thrown in. I used to tell people I was bred to drink. Nothing today so far though. I really cut back after I quit smoking.
I pulled a slick one and let the charge on my SCS run out so it wasn't pretty when I woke up today. Victors band didn't have enough people that could go to fill a spot in the parade so they couldn't march. Joy took the boys to watch it anyway and they should be back any time. I didn't go because I had to charge my butt. I didn't think I could do it.
I've just been answering the phone taking the rsvps for Erics party tomorrow. It hasn't been as many as we had hoped but it should be a decent turn out. I think we picked a bad weekend to rescedual it on.
It's a cloudy windy day here but kind of nice tempiture wise. Things are sure greening up fast and alot of the trees are blooming already.Weird season so far this year. I hope we don't get a late freeze.
I'm just going to charge up for tomorrow, I think it will take it's toll.
Happy St. Patricks Day,
Mike
SSLisa it's a hard job, but you have just got to learn how to pace yourself! Maybe you need to try not using the tens unit so much, maybe it's aggravating things.
Jan it's good to hear that you are breathing easier today! I hope you find ways to get to feeling better soon!
Cherry it's past noon now! Yippee! Your weekend has started!!!! Now kick your feet up and rest!!!
Manny that is terrible about your SIL. I'd say she is probably scared, but all the more reason to be in the hospital! I hope nothing else happens.
Amasun I am so glad you know your own limitations and aren't afraid to say so! You are a great influence to others! Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!
Superduck is it really true? The snow has lifted and you can get out on your scooter?!!! WAHOO!!! Don't forget to wear green so no one steps on your scooters tires!!!
Sunshine I have so enjoyed you since you joined this room! I love your advatar and if you need sun on cloudy days just look at your own advatar it is such a LIFT! I hope the weather settles soon so that pain will let up on you.
Autumn I love the stories of your neighborhood. It sounds like so much fun! I wish my own was more like yours. Get that much needed rest.
Kanoass I haven't heard you talking about needing to charge your butt in quite awhile, thank you so very much for the laugh! Sorry you have to hurt so much for me to have that laugh, but......
That's a real shame that Victors band didn't get to play in the parade I know they were looking forward to doing that for sometime.
My brother took me to my drs appt Thurs. and my body is beat up more than it's usual self. He doesn't know how to take turns slowly or slow down for railroad tracks or bumps of any kind. He kind of slams into stop. Yet he's alot better than he use to be! I'm so grateful to him though for taking me, I don't know how i'd get there without him. It gives us some time to spend together too and we both enjoy that.
Everyone have a Happy St. Patricks Day and wear your green we don't need any more pain!
Toni
Toni I know what you mean about the rough car ride; my boyfriend used to drive like that. I had to train him slowly and tell him every time his quick turns and failure to slow for bumps hurt me. He does much better now. I don't know how often you ride with your brother but it might be worth asking him to take it easy and let him know its hurting you.
Hope everyone is having an awesome St. Patrick's day. Have a great evening. Hugs all around,
ssLisa
Well..I have not so great news, just wanted to let everyone know. You are all like family to me, I really have no family that understands; my children have their own lives and really no time or energy for their Mother.
Its ok,it hurts, but I go on.I'm strong, veryindependent, practical, have friends-not the close ones i used to and I'm still struggling over lost friendships. I go on, strong and determined for yet another major surgery. I went in Monday for a right shoulder MRI. The lady had no medical manners as they call it. She jammed, pushed my right arm into a tunnel looking thing and I mean jammed it up there so tight, it took my breath away. When I was done, she pulls my arm out of the tunnel contraption with my hand, jerks it out.
I get a call right away (less than 2 hours after the test) from my pain mgmt. Dr. who ordered it.I need to get ahold of this certain Dr. in Denver, the earliest they had was Wednesday of next week.I have a rotator cuff tear 80% tear and other areas of my shoulder forearm, wrist and bicep that does not look good. They could not go into details, will know more Wednesday.
Then I had a family Dr appt. for cholesterol and lab work check up,routine,he had a copy of my MRI,so he pointed out several of the problem areas, told me my options, which were pins, nuts and bolts, or if it came back positive for cancer, amputation would be the only other alternative. I am freaking out. My boyfriend and I just broke up;he's left the state, my kids are too busy for their Mom and I have lost some close, closer and CLOSEST friends in DS for support, strength and love.
I feel empty, thinking that I could come out of surgery next week or so without my right arm. I will be alone at the hospital. Too long a drive for my 83 year old Mother. I live about 130 miles south of Denver where I am having my surgery because the Orthopedic surgeon at this particular hospital takes care of all the athletes' who come to Colorado Olympic training center and has alot of experience. Thank God for smalll favors;he is a friend of my family Dr.,he called him and the athletes' Dr. called me with my options. Guess amputation just never crossed my freaked out mind, but he kept talking about it might and probably would be the possibility,so I have to consider it.
I'm so sorry for this long post, its' all fuzzy to me, i just go on and on and I apologize. My problems certainly are not yours and I don't mean to cry on anybodys' shoulder, because right now I have NO Shoulder to cry on. Sorry for any typos, I am typing through tears and not thinking clear.
I am on the most fearful roller coaster ride of emotions and all I can do is talk to my dogs, love them and then just go in my room and scream.Scream for the loss of a relationship of 13 years, loss of a marriage of 22 years, loss of all activities, fun or not, and the probable loss of my right arm. Just another day in the frickin' day of my life.
Thank you for lettig me share it with you. I appreciate some of you maybe reading it.
I hope yours is better and I'm sorry for bothering you with my problems.Like I said, alone and freaked out is a BAD and SCARY part of this frickin' journey we call life.
