HUGS to you!
Lisa...I totally understand what your talking about. Sometimes we have company that stayes real late and I don't want to be rude....but I would love to say...OK...time to go home.
Brandi....Hope you were able to get some sleep!!! I am happy to hear your pain was better yesterday!
Kate...glad to hear your pain is better too!!
Yesterday was pretty good. Mandy's boyfriend's family ended up inviting our younger daughter to go with them to lunch and to an arcade so hubby and I had about 3 hrs to ourselves. We were glad to just be able to relax and not have to go anywhere. I think we both slept better last night. No nerve pain this morning!! Woohooo!! I hope it stays away!!! Not much to do today either. The girls are babysitting again this evening for a few hrs so sounds like another quiet day for us. I am going to savor these because they will be over soon!!
Have a great day everyone!!
Autumn
I can relate to those of you who prefer quiet time at home! The only thing that keeps me from becoming a complete recluse is the fact that my business is attached to my house! There's no getting out of paying the bills so I guess I'll put on my happy face and do my best.
Three perms this week...what was I thinking??? The kick off starts in a half hour so I'm going to start practicing that face...grrrrrr...no, the other one!
Wishing you all a good day...
Yesterday was one year to the day we started working on this house. We are tired.
But happy.
I feel like I wrote this yesterday...... well sometimes it takes several tries for us to get something done.
Pain is a bit better from the scraping Sunday. Turtle pace..... but he did win the race.
Autumn, Glad to hear no nerve pain this AM.
And tonna... I read of your ordeal last night/ this morning.
Love you..... hugs
Lisa my meds make me antisocial...
Cherry... love to you
Ducky, come back later
Kate see you this weekend
I'm alot better today, not great, but better.
I only slept a few hours again so I see a nap in my future.
It's bitter cold and windy here. I got everyone off pretty smooth this morning. Always seems to be hard to get everyone back to a normal scedual after a three day weekend, but it really wasn't bad. So my day is off to a good start.
I think the temp's only supposed to get to 30 today, no idea about the wind chill. A good day to be inside and toasty. I have nothing planned for today and the kids cleaned up the house last night so I only have a couple of chores to do. Should be an easy day. I need it after how bad I felt yesterday.
I hope everyone's in decent shape today,
Mike
I finally went to sleep about 1 am and I woke up at almost 5...overall, pretty good. I am in good spirits today. My pain is low for which I am very thankful.
Seattle and Portland are expected to receive a "major" snow storm over the next 48 hours. I laugh inwardly at that because I from an area that lived in several feet of snow for 8 months of the year.
Portland is expecting 10" of snow...the whole damn city shuts down, falls apart, people stock up on food/supplies, NO ONE SHOVELS and there is 1 Plow between here and the Mt. Ranier that carries 1 cup of sand for the entire city. It is the most insidious thing I have ever witnessed! Nothing changes for me though...I just stay in and stay warmy!
Paulina, doesn't is amaze you how far you have come in a year? How far you have come since your home was destroyed in the floods. You are an amazing tribute to dogged determination and the tenacity of the human spirit!
Mike, I am glad that you are feeling better, every little bit counts right? I hope you hunker down in your chair, don't forget to charge your butt and, be warmy.
Cherry, how wonderful it is that you are your own boss and, you do not have to travel often for clientele. I would have been in such better shape had I been able to work from home. You are in a far better position than most.
Autumn, enjoy every moment of quieter times! I love those times when my kids are out / gone and my mom is gone and my home is silent except for the animals. I always feel far more rested!
Tonna, Dixie, Kate...glad to see you post and check in! Have wonderful day today and, much more managable pain levels.
My parakeet laid eggs and I wasnt sure if they were going to hatch and now I am happy to say we have three new baby birds they are so cute and about the size of a eraser. The first one we named willow and havent picked names for the others I guess we will have to see their personality to match a name to it. In about a week and a half we will be able to see what color they are. I am such a proud momma
I am working on this baby shower I am helping my SIL with it seems I am doing more then her, not that she asked it is just when I do something I get absorbed in it and dont know when to stop. I just have to go over the top with things. I do this with everything
Hope everyone is having a good day and it seems alot of us are having a hard time sleeping, I am in the club dont know if it has to do with the weather or it getting darker earlier. It is Jan in MI and I only have to wear a sweatshirt outside and it is raining like it is spring.
Eugene seems to have dodged a bullet as far as snow goes. there may be some ice here and there. the schools are open as far as I know. The schools all around us are closed.
I got like 4 hours sleep, if that, so off to bed I go. If I could sleep till 11, that would be awesome.
Hi to all. I hope your day is painfree. Will write more when I can think clearer. I apologize for the generic post.
Big Hugs,
MelindA
I think I need to go to my PCP. My middle finger on my right hand hurts so bad that I can barely function with it.
It was crushed in a car door - the door was closed on it - when I was in high school. So I think it is just arthritis. But you know those thoughts that run thru your head when you don't know.
Problem is that my PCP did not want to do whatever this new law requires to contiue to prescribe my meds and sent me to a Pain clinic. He claimed that he talked with the doc and made him aware of my needs. But when I get to the pain clinic, the doc starts demanding that I have steroid injections or nerve burning.
Aside from the fact that meds are working well enough, that does not address any of the widespread pain issues.
I am pretty angry that my PCP just dumped me on this guy.
What to do? What to do?
I went back to my PCP and explained the issues. I also told her that I refused the injections and the surgery. I explained to her my reasons why etc.
YOU are the paitent and YOU are or should be in charge of what goes into or not into your body. YOU have the ultimate decision as to how/what kind of treatment you receive.
If you are not able to get supported through your current PCP, If he/she is not allowing you to be an active partner in your medical care....he/she needs to take a hike.
In support!
My arms are still down, heck all of me is down, but I am doing my best to maintain a good spirit anyways. It's a little easier for me. My daughters are raised and raising their families, I just have myself to worry about.
I finally had to go grocery shopping last night so I can't move today. Sure get tired of taking it easy.
Manny I'd love to see pics on the baby birds! I use to sell parakeets at walmart and it's unusual for them to have to many babies. You must give them a very good home! Love the name Willow.
Have a glorious day!!!!
