Well...it's two days after Christmas and I'm ready to get the few decorations that I bothered to get out...OUT! If my body will cooperate, that's going to happen, today.
My roomie left for Boston, yesterday. He has family and work waiting for him and he'll be gone for up to two weeks. I'll enjoy the quiet (he talks non stop), but I'll miss the help. He was very concerned about how I would manage without him here to do things for me. He spent two days splitting firewood to a managable size for me to lift, took the trash cans out and even arranged for one of his friendsto keep my salon walkway clear of snow. As much as he can drive me batty, he is a good guy!
As I was getting ready to send out a few hugs last night, a sudden stabbing pain hit my bad shoulder and all thoughts of typing came to an abrupt halt. I awakened at 3:30 this morning and both shoulders hurt like hell, my neck and my whole upper back.
I have to give one lady's cut/style this morning, drive a half hour to the dentist for a crown...then back to work later in the afternoon. ARRGGGHHHH! At least there's no snowstorm predicted....

Cherry, we posted at the same time so I deleted mine.
I only slept a couple of hours. It's cold and windy outside, that may be what woke me up. It was calm and warm yesterday so I think I'm feeling the weather change.
I don't have any plans for today after I get Joy up and out of here in an hour or so. It seems so peaceful this morning with everyone asleep. It's been kind of wild here the last few days.
I feel sort of achy but not real bad so maybe it'll be a good day. I can't take my pills for another hour yet.

Cold and rainy here in NC........well 42 degrees, that's cold for me.

I am so glad all the holiday business is over and I have pretty much did nothing yesterday as I have been non stop the last week it seems like. I always try to over do it and push myself when I should really just do what I can as by the next week it all seems like it was not worth the effort to do anyways.
I plan on getting some of my xmas decorations down as well just want things back to normal. My nerve pain in my leg has been really bothering me lately and is driving me batty and I cant sleep for very long, hope it passes soon.
It is actually pretty mild here weather wise it does not even seem like winter and I wonder if it is just going to hit all at once we have huge sales on winter clothes here as nobody is buying them I should stock up because I am sure it will hit soon.

Cherry, I am sorry that you are hurting so much. I am also very glad that you have someone there who will help you and who cares enough to have friends help you too.
Mike, having NO plan is the BEST plan! Relax as much as possible, enjoy the day at home with the boys and parents and....take it easy my friend. You deserve every moment of "least pain, more rest" you can get. HUGS my dear friend
Dave, 42 degrees? Honey...I know that is cold where you are at but, I promise you won't get frost bite or anything like that. I hope you have a great day back to work and, you are not in too much pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend. Give Rocco a hug!!
Manny, Leave the decorations!! Let them sit there until the new year, who does it hurt. You just got the darn things up and, your body needs a rest my friend. I hope that your foot is doing ok with all the cooking and cleaning that you have done. I hope everyone had a great Christmas at your house, including YOU! Hugs my friend.
ME>>>Today is my specialist appointment with the ENT guru. I have to take my scooter to the MAX station, ride into Portland, ride several blocks from the drop off to the Dr. office and, then turn around and come home again. My back is already screaming. However, I am very glad to get the appt. out of the way as my Left ear continues to fight infection. In total, I think I have had 50 days of Amoxacillian in the last three months. The ear will clear a little but, starts to fully infect again within 2 weeks of the last pill.
My little duck brought home a new friend yesterday...a soft and cute grey long haired kitten she has named Belle. I realize today that this kitten was probably not the best choice...I should have got one that was younger and one that was litter box trained. This one was living in an outdoor shop with her family. She is 9/10 weeks old. She is definately used to humans, not feral but, more wild than house tame. It will be interesting to see how this little girl adapts to a home environment. My little duck immediatley fell in love with her and, I can't stand to see her unhappy/upset. Now, we have three little ill mannered dogs that are spoiled babies and, a new kitten who will kick their butt on sight. Should be interesting!

I am watching my grandson this morning and as it turns out babysitting SIL as well lol. He's not feeling well and wanted to sleep in this morning. Grandson is playing with his iPad so I'm just trying to keep alert after a very poor nits sleep. Why is it always when you have be up extra early that you can't fall into a real sleep until an hour before you need to get up? Grrrr.....
Had some good news last night. My sister's room mate and friend is finally showing some signs of improvement. She is still in the hospital but they have the respirator out and just the oxygen support in her nose. There is hope they will let her get up and walking a bit which should further help with lung function. They haven't gotten the test results back yet but my fingers are crossed that the worst is over.
Thank you all for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. The turn around has been dramatic from 2 days ago and I believe she was helped by you. <3
I am kinda like the rest of you today.....achy. We had one of my daughters friends 16th b-day party last night, and as much as I knew it would not feel good, I got up and danced with the girls. I love dancing with them!! So much fun. Sooo of course I am paying for it today.
My big news of the day is I have decided to get certified in Medical Records. I used to work in MR years ago before I had my first daughter and loved it. I never got my certification however. So I have decided to start online school. I already took my first exam and got a 93 which is good, but it also was open book and the easiest of the whole program!!! LOL!!! I am excited about it though. It is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. My plan is to work from home eventually but it will take prob over a year to finish the program so we'll see.
Should be a somewhat quiet day. My daughter's boyfriend is coming over for a while then it's dentist apts for the girls. Poor Hubby has to work until Friday. But he gets double time everyday, so I guess it's worth it.

What a bunch of pooped worn out bunch of people we are! LOL! Everyones talking about taking decorations down! Come on don't you know that you don't have to do this until the 1st! We get to rest!!!! We earned this right!
I am planning on taking it easy today. I couldn't get to sleep until 6 am so a nap is the only thing planned for the day. Maybe a soak in the tub. Oh yeah it was raining last night and when I let my dogs out this morning the ground was covered in snow! It will all be gone though as it's so reach a whopping 40 today.

Hope everyone is resting and recovering from Christmas. I am ready for some simple meat and potatoes. Too much holiday food.

I have been hurting worse than ever and can't, shouldn't be typing much if any.
It is exploding pain and have been down on couch 2 days.

As for me, I took today off to vegetate. I have done so much cooking, baking, cleaning, and laundry these last couple of weeks, I just needed a day...a day to do absolutely nothing. Mission accomplished! Aside from dinner making, my day was spent on the couch! Watched "The Help" with my daughter. Loved it at the theater, and it was just as good the second time around!!! I highly recommend it if you haven't had the chance to see it yet! The rain has arrived here in full force, and my knees are unhappy. Maybe tomorrow will also be low key. We'll see! I have also got to start some more healthy eating here. Have been nibbling holiday goodies, and as yummy as they are, I feel the guilt. OK, time to go grab a cookie. Hugs and love to all.
