I've been up all night. My back started killing me last night and I wasn't able to get any sleep at all. I had my morning cocktail of pills a little bit ago and maybe that will help soon.
Joy and Victor are both singing solos at the church today and I was planning on going to see them but it doesn't look too good right now. I'm a real mess this morning.
We had a nice time at her uncles house yesterday and the kids were good. I was hurting a little over there but it really hit me later when we got home. I didn't even do anything really, I just got up out of my chair and BAM! It hit me like a hammer in my back and I haven't been right since.
I wanted to do a few things today but I don't know that I will now.
Sorry, whaa whaa whaa! I'll quit now.
I hope the rest of you enjoy your Sunday,
Mike
Just finished my Bible study, already got two cups of coffee, my Sunday oatmeal, and my meds under my belt, so I'm on the way to being functional ( lol ).
Big day at church. We have so many talented musicians, a lot of them our youth, and today will be a day of music and rejoicing. I participate in the Sanctuary choir and we will have our music tonight. I used to be a part of the hand-bell choir, but my SCS has that on hold. I may ask my doctor if I can ring the smaller bells next year. They will also play today.
So I'm excited. Wishing everyone a great day. If you're reading this and your thinking of posting something that's on your mind....please do.
I hope everyone has a low pain day!!!
Big Hugs,
David, aka dmaspord.
that is hard when you don't sleep. Mike what songs are they singing? It sound like music is a big part of today for many.
I will go to church and I am looking forward to singing the Christmas songs..... it seems I haven't heard many this year.
Cherry I hope you have a good day and get to bake and wrap.
Myshoes.... I understand how the pain can at times be overtaking .... bless you my friend.
David, enjoy your day..... I always look at the big bells and wonder how anyone picks up those things.
The sun is breaking through and it looks real nice.... I will take that as a glorious display of all the other gifts God has for us today.
Cherry, I love being able to do/rest/do/rest and so on. It really does hellp me get through the days and the nights. I hope your list is accomplished without finishing you off.
Mike, I am so sorry that happened. I have done that many times...something so simple as getting up from a chair, out of the car or, even off the potty....full blown spasms and pain that damn near knocked me out. I would be in full spasm for days. The only thing that helped me was rest, muscle relaxers and, more rest. I will keep you in my prayers my friend. I am so proud of Joy and Victor, please give them my best for a great preformance. HUGS
Dave, don't forget to tape your choir and share!! I am glad that you have had a nice start to your morning. I love my am oatmeal...I put walnuts and raisins on mine...and, I eat it cold. I know, I know...I drink my coffee cold too. I'm a weirdo. Have a wonderful day at church my friend and, may The Lord just surround you and bless you today. HUGS
ME>>>>the little duck and I made several cookie doughs last night for baking today. I hate to admit it but, making the dough put me O-U-T of commission. I pushed through the pain and made it through the clean up. I wish there was a way I could deliver fresh cookies to you all....it is so much fun to make pretty christmas cookies. HUgs to you my friends!!
Since we posted at the same time I wanted to say hi to my duckie.
"Hi, Ducky"
Sending hugs, love, and comfort.

Today's the Big day!! I hope. I told Hubby a few weeks ago, all I wanted for Christmas was the "Pantry" I've asked for yrs ago. I have so little cabinet space particularly for food and appliances like Food processors, etc. Well, Hubby jumped on it this time (I think the thought of not having to pick out a gift was a great motivator LOL). Talked to a neighbor who does custom woodwork, he came over, took measurements, etc. We had some wood here I'd picked up at an auction yrs ago, incorporated that plus some White Pine. Mac (neighbor) built it off-site in his workshop. I picked out hinges and handles. Now its ready!! Even better, we're doing the Barter system and trading the old Hosier Cabinet (I know its wonderful but don't have room for both and its not great storage!!) for the Labor. This means we have just over $100 in my Christmas Pantry!! Plus, Mac is going to help redo all my cheap, paper-covered pressed wood kitchen cabinets (after Christmas)!! AND we started painting the Breakfast nook (where pantry is going) last week!!
Sorry about the long into but said all that to say My pantry is being Installed today!!! We'll still have to Poly coat it ourselves so kitchen will still be upside down for a few days but hopefully will be done before Christmas! Funny thing, Mac looks like a skinny Santa. Long white hair and beard!!
So busy day today, getting Hosier to him and installing, starting Clear Coat for Pantry.
Hope you all have a wonderful day and find some small joyful things to celebrate today!!
I have not felt really well the last few days. I think I did too much on Thurs and Friday. I have slept for twelve out of the last fifteen hours and feel better this morning.
I will come back and fill you all in on the details.
Big hugs to everyone,
Melinda
My Aunt was released from the NH 2 days before Thanksgiving & has had several appts including one one Mon but is doing better for now.
My Grandma; 89 w/ Alzheimer's I took to her doctor almost 2 wks ago; she has been so out of it & I knew she had some kind of infection to get that way as it always happens this time of year. Ended up being a kidney infection & is on antibiotics which isn't helping her mind. All she wants to do is stay in bed but we've got her eating & taking her meds. We have to get her up & moving more or she will get so weak that by Christmas she will end up in the hospital if we don't as this has been a pattern for about 5yrs now & only 2yrs has she NOT been hospitalized during Christmas so I'll take any prayers you can send our way.
My pain has been horrible since I don't know when this year with my Aunt being both hospitalized & put into a NH twice this year which puts me in a position of having to do all the running as Mom has to stay with my Grandma. It's pretty bad when I can't get a mammogram or see my OBGYN for needed yearly tests due to my family & their many doctor appts. I don't see how I do it but since God didn't cause my pain but has allowed me to have a great doctor & gives me strength I don't have, I do feel blessed to be able to do what I can for my family however it's getting so hard for my 72yr old Mom to be their caretaker 24/7.
Without my Saturday church services I'd be so lost. I am blessed that my church offers both Sat & Sun services & even has sermons online in case I have to miss.
David, I so wish I could join the choir at my church & can't wait to start a new Bible Study in Jan.
Kansas, I've missed talking to you so much also & sorry for all the pain I know you are in as I'm killing myself trying to keep my family going.
I've had my coffee, meds & piles of laundry to keep me busy today.
I haven't even finished my shopping much less started to wrap any gifts; I'm thinking gift bags are going to my way this year but I love to wrap presents.
Sorry so long but I've missed out on so much here & so many I care about deeply.
It's hard for me to post a thread telling all what I go through when I barely have time to get online and pay my bills lately & I'm really going to try to do better after the Holidays.
Looking forward to the Christmas Service at church bc anymore due to family illness, I dread the Holidays & need to get to the true meaning of Christmas as to me that is the ONLY reason to truly celebrate that Christ was born to set us free from our sins & I'm in no way perfect, never will be but to know He loves me is truly amazing.
God Bless you all; I love & miss you & the group,
HUGS, Rhonda, IN
Had a wonderful day yesterday with good friends that are more like family, tons of food and many laughs during the ornament exchange. They even let you steal something someone already opened instead of picking under the tree when it's your turn. That always makes for some good laughs, it's all in good fun.
Laying low today, just hanging out at the house. Hubby not feeling great, fighting off a cold or something. I'm recovering from a bunch of dental work two days this past week. The folks at the new Dentist office were really trying to help me get a bunch of work done on this year's benefits before the year runs out but think we might have overdone it a bit. At least the Doc was understanding and gave me some additional pain meds to help me through. Bless their hearts though, they were trying to help save me some money out of pocket.
Okay, just going to go back and chill for the rest of the day. Everyone have a wonderful, restful afternoon and evening.
Hope your mouth eases up. God bless you.
(old song)
I am not the one wrapping wrapping wrapping....
LOL you don't over do it!
