I went to minor care to get my ankles looked at and hoping for a x-ray or an appointment for an MRI or something and they only thing they did for me was give me Baclofen which is a muscle relaxer does it work good? I have tried flexril with no help. My ankle gets so swollen and spasms so bad that the other day I couldn't walk for two days. This was the day after looking at engagment rings. It was worth the pain though it was fun but I am just saying a day of running around cauess it to spasm and swell and hurt so bad that I couldn't even get down the stairs to leave my apartment. I was just wondering if anyone had any luck with this. I am about to go get it filled after I take my mom out to mothers day lunch. I think she choose applebees so thats tasty food anyway I am rambling now I will talk to you all later.

I have been trying to get this med for so long for my spacicity!!! I hear for people with MS or movment disorders they swear by this med! I hear it works really well.

I think it will definatly help your spasms. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.

If you still can walk after you start this med i would keep pushing for imaging of your ankles!

Not me, but hey it's worth the try! I hope it does work for you. Also put your feet up and stay off of them as much as possible. That man better be worth all of this Ha! For my spasms and pain I take potassium. It is the only thing I have found that I can take and will help at all.

I take this med...BACLOFEN...and I like it. I was on flexeril for years and years and it never really worked for me, except I could always expect a headache.

I started on Baclofen in August and while I don't find it as useful/helpful as Ativan....I appreciate this med very much. I don't get any headaches from it, I feel it work within 20 minutes and it lasts a while. I am allowed 1 and 1/2 tablet three times per day ...but I only end up taking 2 maximum...usually first thing in the AM so I can start moving (with all my other meds) and then about 6 PM at night...so I can move enough to get into bed and attempt sleep while my whole body is on high alert! HA!

I hope you find as much relief from it as I have ...it has been good for me.

What I have discovered after one pill is I only woke up three times between 5:00pm and 1:00am. It was a miracle. I don't think it really helped my ankle all to well but it made me too tired to care lol. Mine says to take 1-2 three times a day if needed I would hate to see what 2 does.

Baclofen helps some with muscle spasms, but everyone is different. I do not respond well to muscle relaxers generally speaking, but my husband gets a lot of relief.
